1999 Legacy - Oil Leak Problems
Hey everyone,
I've got some questions about a 99 Legacy L, 64k miles, 2.2 litre. There is a small to moderate oil leak and the mechanic diagnosed the problem with these two lines: Oil leak behind timing cover. Valve cover gaskets leaking into spark plug wells - recommend replacing. Anyone have any ideas on this topic? He quoted about 300 dollars to replace the appropriate parts with labor. If anyone has had this problem before or has any thoughts at all please let me know. If something else could be causing the problem or if the mechanic is overcharging I'd like to hear your ideas - it would be much appreciated. |
