Rally Stuff Help attaching driver & co/driver names.

I just recieved my names from Paul Eklund (the check was mailed today, thanks) and I'm trying to figure out how to temporarily attach them to the car. This is my daily driver / TSD Rally car and I just think that driving around ALL the time with our names on the car has Teh Ghey.

Find some clear static cling material at a sign shop. Attach it to that.

If you're only trying to attach them to the car, use a magnetic backing so that they're removable.
If you're going to put them on the window, go with KC's idea.

Suck it up and stick them on.

Then remove them when you want them off.

Then suck it up again, make friends with somebody that's got a vinyl cutter, and pay them $5 to make you another set next rally.

Stick the names onto a piece of overhead trancparency, the scotch tape it to the (inside of the) window. This is basically what we do with our rally car.

Since 90% of the time it's my father, brother, or myself in occupying the two seats (or one seat, depending on what we're doing) and we all have the same last name, we (permanently) put "KENNEDY/KENNEDY" on the outside of the windows. Then we can put the first initials (on said transparency) we need (on the inside) wherever needed. Aside from not being as bright as the "KENNEDY" on the outside, you really can't/don't notice it.

KC- great Idea! Worked perfect. Signs Tomorrow on woodward just north of 13 is great. (by the way I have a bunch of static cling material for detroit area folks.)

A certain car with a PVC "roll cage" comes to mind.

As soon as you beat us on a TSD rally mykr then you can talk smack. Until then pretend it's not realy rally.

Also mykr when was the last time you beat Doug Shepard in a rally. My last time was Saturday.

all he has to do is buy a rally Golf, enter an RA National in Group 2 & finish & he will podium. Unfortunately, that is the current state of National G2.

but in Regional G2 or G5 he will get stomped til he gets some stage miles under his belt.

It isnt like driving in 2nd on pavement around cones...

Its pretty unfortunate, but true. CenDiv (or previously cendiv) G2 is where its at, the competition there is awesome and woudl really push to be a faster driver. I look to those guys for who I should be beating in my G5 car, or at least keeping up with them. I like cockiness, but making blanket statements that you're going to finish on the podium without ever putting on the harness, suit, and helmet is a bit too much. I'm at the point now where I can start to push, its taken 6 clubs to get to that point though, finally at 100aw on Saturday I was ready to give it a bit more and I actually felt like my tires were holding me back from what I wanted to do - I still only feel like I'm at about 80% of where i can be.

Selling this car is gonna be one of the hardest things evar if I decide to go through with it. (see here: http://www.specialstage.com/dc/dcboa..._id=3477&page= )
