SOA is a wholly owned subsidiary of FHI, so I guess they are one in the same. That being said, they aren't thrilled to share profit with three independently owned distributors.

Thanks for the visual confirmation! Justy let me know all Legacy 2.5i models aren't PZEV, so that explains the auto show pics. Apparently they still ship different versions to different states instead of going all-PZEV like Impreza.

Wait, can one of these independent importers bring the Levorg to the US?

What is the general time-table for Subaru Sales reps to bring new vehicles to dealerships for display for a few hours? Is it different with each product launch? We always seem to see upcoming new vehicles in March, but I'm also in New England...does that mean it's up to SNE here, and not SOA? Also, what is the cut-off date for '14 Impreza's?

Does anyone have info on the LED headlights? is the "hawkeye" accent the same on all headlights, but it lights up on the Limited model, and the DRL's are still the halogens in the center, but the lens is darker? Similar to the Focus ST, are the LED's in the hawkeyes not DRL's, and only go on with the headlights?

I am trying to get clarification on this, as most reviews seem to have the Limited and not a Premium being tested.

According to Apple's website (http://www.apple.com/ios/carplay/), Subaru is one of the "committed partners" that plan to bring CarPlay to their models in the future. It's pretty exciting to see Subaru on this list since usually it takes a while for Subaru to make moves in this area.

Do you have any idea what an ETA might be? Like a few model years from now, next decade, etc?

Thanks.

SOA
2 threads that I would like to bring to your attention:http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2627953

and

http://www.iwsti.com/forums/2015-sti...g-corners.html

On the IWSTI site over 30 pages and over 300 posts. Have you seen these threads? Any comments? I am very disappointed that I have been doing regular daily driving and the paint in my new $37K car is chipping. Subaru was very eager and passionate about getting this car out to the public, which we all like and love but now we need so action on SOA's part.

Would like to hear your thoughts on how to proceed with this and if SOA is aware.
My Trunk is also chipping.

Sorry for the REALLY LATE response to this. I am in England and a bit inebriated(good wine). Anyway, I don't think I would have said it that way. If If I did, I apologize, but not ALL Legacys are PZEV. Everything(not just Impreza) coming from Japan minus turbos is PZEV. For SIAs cars, it's still an option except 3.6.

Too much good wine. You previously told me ALL Legacys AREN'T PZEV... same as you're telling me now.

You must be watching the World Cup while there, right? Sorry no celebration vs Italy... will you be in the UK for England's next game?

Two items:

1. Can you provide any indication as to when the 2015 WRX/STI will become eligible for the VIP program? Will eligibility not occur until MY2016?

2. More of a suggestion, but I wish SOA had a program to nationally tour and allow test drives of the new WRX and STI. There are zero of either available for test drives in my area, as with most areas I am sure, and while VIP would be nice, the inability to test drive the car first is pretty much the only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger. I am sure there are many like myself who won't buy a car without driving it first, so this seems a fairly simple way to book even more orders.

So, SOA Blog, haven't seen you on here for a long time. Congrats on the 2014 sales records and all the awards. What do you anticipate to be the most exciting news for us to Lear about early in 2015? Anything awesome up your sleeve?

Honestly,

This is a dealer ****-up.

Dealers get greedy and sell all available units.

We are an metro-area dealer, and plate 2 wrx's ( one cvt, on manual ) and an Sti. all 3 units are permanently plated, registered, and on winter tires for the season if required.

You have NO IDEA how many customers walk in here, saying they went to another dealer and were turned down... not even able to see the car. The amount of sales generated by this minor expense is well worth it.

Dealers have been selling all their units for years, and still haven't learnt from us. Their loss.

SOAblog - I just came from the NYIAS, and I liked the display with the new Starlink navigation, but the placement was bad. There was no reception, so people could not try out several of the apps.

Question: is it possible to retrofit the starlink navigation from the 2015 Crosstrek into a 2014? I love my crosstrwk, but the navigation unit on the '14 is a total nightmare. It's near impossible to use without diverting your eyes off the road for a decent amount of time.

Mods: Time to un-stick this sticky thread? Not sure there's a reason for it to be here anymore.

SOA Blog has not been active here - or anywhere on NASIOC - in over 10 months. 😕
