Default '06-'07 engine management verification

First off, I DID search for a long time to try to find a definite answer...

Okay, I'm in the process of swapping an EJ255 engine into a non-Subaru chassis and I have a few questions that I need clarification on before I continue on the engine management.

I have the following pieces that came from a matching 2006 WRX...

Complete engine
Complete wiring harness
ECU
Key w/matching "transponder" (I think that's what it's called)
Integrated Unit
Fuel pump control unit

I DO NOT HAVE THE GAUGE CLUSTER

Basically, do I have everything I need to make this package run, or is it a waste of time to try and make a "universal harness" out of a system that is so contaminated with security systems?

It's good that you have the KEY, Integrated Unit, and ECU. Those 3 are the ones that have to match. Now you need the KEY RING, which lights up that's connected onto the ignition key hole; that's the antenna that senses your key. The cluster is the bridge sort of. You need a cluster that comes on an immobilizer car '05+ STi '06+ WRX.

I have the antenna that came in a box with the matching key. Do I absolutely need the cluster to make the engine run? Keep in mind, I will not be using this sytem in a Subaru

Also, I do have the throttle pedal that matches everything else

how's that antenna look like? ..just wanna make sure we're on the same page.
the cluster is like a bridge. it goes into that security light the back out. so i dunno if it just uses the cluster as a bridge or not. the wire diagram shows it goin through the security bulb.
yups, understood it's not goin in a subaru

The antenna is the thing that goes around the key cylinder in the column.

I read in other threads dealing with '05 immobilizer systems that all you need is the LED in the cluster, which I'm assuming is the security light you are talking about. Seems like I could just "simulate" the LED and do away with the need for the cluster.
