Default General Grabber AT-X (the new AT2)?

Been out of the Subaru info flow for a minute, so excuse me if this is a often asked question. I did search, tho.

Wondering if the General Grabber AT-X is the ‘new’ AT2 for old WRX wagons?

I’ve had AT2s on my car for like 10+ years (215/65/16). Flatted beyond repair yesterday and was on TireRack to order 4 fresh AT2s and all I see now is the AT-X.

From what I understand, it’s got more aggressive sidewalls and side-knobs. I know the AT2s barely squeak in. Any fitment issues with the AT-X in the same dimensions?

Well, I'll hop back in here now that I spoke to Luke @TireRack in case anyone else searches the same question:

Yes, the AT-X is the updated AT2. Fitment is exactly the same.
