Weird whistling noise around 2k-3k rpm. 07 wrx gg 104k miles, fully stock

I might sound like a noob, but this is my first wrx. I had an Impreza, same year so I know the chassis very well, but engine is a little different. This noise is new to me, never heard it the first month owning it. No weird feeling, but very weird noise. Any suggestions ?

sounds like your blow off valve to me bro. or your turbo spooling. is your exhaust from downpipe to muffler stock(OEM)? if so one the 2 i mentioned is what your hearing.

Can you reproduce the whistling with the car parked and the hood up?

If so, you should be able to isolate it pretty quick.

Sorry just saw this. Very late Ik lol. Been very very busy. It’s comes here and there, not as much. I haven’t been able to check while parked, happens right when I’m driving, and by the time I’m parked and want to check the sounds is gone. I seem to see that it happens more often when its cold outside, and when the engine is warming up. I finally have a day off tomorrow so I’ll try to catch it if it happens and send over a video
