BRIT_BOY's New 2011 DGM STI 5-door- Journal
[/size]Hi all, I have just got seated in a 2011 DGM STI hatch. I first got introduced to Subaru back in 2004 when I got a silver STI sedan. I fell in love with the boxer engine and handling.... I got a Cobb St2 back then which greatly improved performance... I sold that when I went oversees in 2007. I have just returned back and wanted to get back into a clean 2005 STI..but spent over a year looking for one at a good price.. tired of looking I broke down and got a new STI..
My first impressoins of it is WOW!!! It feels so much tighter and responsive on handling than the 04 model... Planned Upgrades: 1. I have just put 400+ miles below 4000 revs..so first step is after 1000 miles is Cobb St2 kit 2. Next step - after 10,000 miles I am planning a E85/20g or FP green turbo swap with injectors and fuel pump etc....Want to get to about 400WHP range with a quick spool.. I am still looking at best set-up for thish so I would appreciate any comments and thoughts on this step....Thanks for looking & enjoy this Journal....BRIT_BOY_STI.....\ reserved Getting a Clearbra.....at Cobb in Plano

Scratch
Some noob just put a scratch on my rear drivers side door it's deep enough that can't buff it out. It's about 4" long. Must of been keyed or something. I am so pissed.
Well on a brighter note I just passed 1000 miles and I got an accessport. So far I am really impressed with the st1 map. It feels very similar to the st2 I had on my old 04 sti! Last edited by BRIT-BOY-STI; 11-13-2010 at 07:41 PM. |

Clearbra was about $700 for their st3 coverage. They had a special of $100 buck off. Still a lot though but I like it. I will post some more pic this weekend. I need to figure how to imbed pics better.

I think it depends on basic upkeep of it and the color of the car as far as how discoloration show's up. I think Clearbra is worth it IMO. From hear on out every car i will own will have a clearbrah asap after purchase.

try hosting photos on a site like photobucket.
I'm pretty sure clearbra is removable when you need to. The 3M stuff isn't supposed to yellow over time but other brands might. Best you check and see if they have a warranty against yellowing. |
