Your 2009 does not have the ABS diagnostic connector. You access your VDC system through the DLC connector. You need Subaru SSMIII or SSM4, or one of the higher functioning aftermarket scan tools like some of the Matco or Snap-On units.

I am guessing you don't know your code? When you replaced your hubs did you break the wheel speed sensors? I have seen bits of metal get stuck to the magnets in the reluctor (part of the back of the wheel bearing) and give bad speed sensor waveforms.

I have 3 codes, c0029, c0074, and c0057.

I don't believe I've done any damage to the wheel speed sensors. I have since yesterday, take the wheels off and removed the wheel speed sensors from the knuckle and inspected them both, and can see no visible damage to them. However that doesn't necessarily mean they are not damaged internally, since I did not remove them from the knuckle when I was beating the old hubs off. Perhaps the heavy impact vibrated some damage into them, I have 2 new sensors arriving Friday and will replace them.

Another test i did just a little while ago was, start the car and just let it run idling without moving, and the lights never came on. This leads me to believe it is not recognizing an error while the wheels are not rotating. Unless someone else who knows subies better than I can correct my theory here?

Success!!!!
The Autel MaxiCheck Pro will actuate the ABS on an 06' WRX. I have it in my hand doing it as we speak.
I'll check a few more years and models of subie and report back.

Much apreciated. I ordered an iCarsoft 903 which claimed to be able to read abs and srs codes. Turns out they lied so I'm probably going to wind up with the Maxicheck pro after I send this one back.

You could order one off of Amazon and find out. Worse case you have to send it back for free. You're out nothing.

For those of you that may be interested and have 2015 to 2017 wrx's, you can activate the ABS solenoids. I just recently purchase one and have tried it.
However if you purchase one, it ships with old software for both the scanner as well as the pc/mac software.Mine scanner was made in August of 2018 but it has the old software.
You will need to update both; then scroll through and select all of the available Subaru updates to the SD card that is supplied with the scanner.
Note you must use an SD reader that runs off your computer as you can't directly download to the scanner with the supplied USB cable.
Once you do both and insert the updated SD card into the device it will function.
For those with an 2015 - 2017 STI, there isn't a separate listing but since the abs system would be the same it should work.
For all the other model subaru's it covers from 1998 on.
