Best around, w/ in 40 miles, and even farther if you go South, IMO.

I've built this one w/ care & attention to details/quality. IF I sell, I will most likely start another line of stores w/ the intent on building them up to sell again. But more of a focus on 3-5 stores and bigger cities.

Ya. It just kept piling up. Most cars you couldn't even see the wheels anymore. I looked up how often it snows in SF since I couldn't ever remember it happening and sure enough it almost never happens. Seasons are dumb.

We got about a foot more. It was above the wheels of the Subaru I left on the street and I tried to leave yesterday and made it half a block in 20+ minutes before I gave up.

We're just not equipped to handle it. Now part of that is the fact I saw a snowplow driving up and down the bare and wet arterial while there is still 8-12 inches of snow on side streets...

Only real joy is I didn't lose power while a lot of people did.

Applied for a job last week, got asked to interview today. Feels good to be wanted! After being kicked around at my current job for a long time, its nice to see there is life outside of my current work situation.

I've been spending a bunch of money on the car lately and haven't been able to justify buying a new console so that I could play RDR2 (I hadn't even turned the PS3 on in ~2yrs), but all the talk really got me jonesing so back before Xmas I started a new Redemption game and really had a blast all over again. Finished the second 100% game a couple of weeks ago and then discovered that there was a hidden trophy that I had missed both times through, do twenty missions without hitching your horse or letting it die, so I started yet another game with the express purpose of getting that trophy. Again, fun was had.

Got the trophy a couple of days ago and have been feeling sad that there's nothing left for me to do, then it dawned on me that I'd never gotten in to Undead Nightmare, so let's try that again!

Nope, still don't like it. Still sad.

Joy - I'd also hated playing online back in the day because I could never build any experience or level up without some punk ass with his character maxxed out killing me for no damn reason as soon as I spawned. Now all of those punks are playing RDR2 online so I'm having a blast playing online.

Thinking about buying Revolver since I never played it.

I think I just witnessed something that is more American than a slice of apple pie at a baseball game.

A lady was walking her dog while riding a lime scooter barely above a human walking pace

Merica! **** yeah!

3 year old fridge stopped cooling this weekend. Called LG to schedule repair expecting it to be at least a few hundred for labor if parts were still under warranty. Phone support says 2 parts are under warranty but I'm liable for labor. Guy comes today diagnosed it as a bad compressor, replaced thus afternoon nothing out of pocket.

Bad compressor in 3 years? that doesn't bode well for the long term.

The tech said the replacement is better so here's to hoping. Seems to be a known issue.

I ordered Nothing but Trouble and watched it with the wife last night. Man I love me some 80s/90s movies.

John Candy was a treasure.
Demi Moore when younger was smokin hot.

Going to be hard to beat this for truth.

Fridge died, source unknown and about to sell the house the fridge is in. Get new fridge. :easy button:

"Fridge may take *some number of units of time* to reach target temp"

two days seems too many units of time, call GE. GE repair guy is on site the next day, Mrs. Lag gets the pleasure of baby sitting him. He says it wasn't filled with refrigerant from the factory, Mrs Lag relays to me on the phone while the tech is still filling up the complex series of tubes with refrigerant. I asked, through Mrs. Lag, if he used his sniffer to be sure of what he said. No need to use the sniffer, he was sure.

The next time he was at the house he wondered how I knew about refrigerant sniffers where I wondered why he wouldn't do something simple that would have pointed to the lack of soldering on a joint letting all of the refrigerant out of the complex tubes in the fridge. Not that Mrs. Lag said he was anything other than pleasant but she didn't really enjoy baby sitting the guy twice. Maybe the joy was lessons learned by all of us that day.

watching one of the hangover movies that seem too close to being documentaries.

Most of the commercials, watching on comedy central because life is real, are for alcohol and everyone is running, dancing and generally being happy. It's a great juxtaposition.

A former employee of ours that had left town with a pretty expensive piece of equipment after working 2 weeks actually brought it back to us. I didn't think we'd ever see it again.

A second machine I was refurbing wouldn't crank...seemed like a fuel problem. I pulled the carb and it was a mess. Multiple passages and jets clogged with crap. Fuel bowl was completely dry and full of rust.

Cleaned it all up...looks and works like it was brand new now.

Both of these machines we keep as spares to swap out if others break down. Which means they get used very intermittently and nobody ever drains the fuel while they are stored. I gotta fix that behavior.

I bought fuel stabilizer and never used it. Frustrating. When getting a piece of equipment running after sitting for too long sticking a something through the needle is almost all I need to get the crud out but try to clean up everything while I'm there. Do you think rubbing the fuel bowls down with a little oil would solve or create more issues for rust prevention if done before storage?

A lady at MCDs called the cashire a bitch because her chipcard didn't work and she had to swipe it. When mine went through I turned around, smiled and waved. She got all huffy and left without her food.

Fidget spinners have disappeared from public consciousness. I wonder how many erstwhile entrepreneurs are left sitting on a shipping container worth of worthless stock.

My 4 year old just discovered them. She'll probably lose interest in about 5 minutes.

Yep.
My wife was at a hotel Saturday night and was at the desk around 2am. 50ish YO woman was having to deal with a group of drunk early 20 somethings and some ******* college dudes on a wrestling team.

She came home and asked "is it like that at your hotel"?
I showed her the MOD report from my hotel saying the police were called to deal with a drunk belligerent guest that same evening.

Talked down an old man with dementia last night when he turned across the lane we were driving in and crashed onto the sidewalk. I had to talk and keep him calm until EMS arrived...about 12 mins later. I ended up grabbing his keys out of the column after he started the car back up and insisted on backing out and going home. He got pretty mad at that point but couldn't get himself out of his own seat belt as the EMS arrived. Happy he got home or to help safely.

I was getting shopping carts from the parking lot one night Back In The Day and saw a guy struggle with driving a car. He stopped in the middle between two rows of spots. As I walked over he got the car moving again, and stopped it by putting it directly into park.

I should have gotten the police involved, but I don't actually remember what I did.
