Personally, I think they're the Fyre Festival of energy drinks. There is no product. They don't produce energy drinks and sell them. They're available next to nowhere. There is no company HQ. It's all a marketing promotional idea with no tangible results. I guess the check to Haas came through but trying to build a business backwards by taking your capital, turning it into marketing hype by sponsoring an F1 team and expecting it to grow based on that exposure is not going to work. They're not built organically like Red Bull or Monster over years. They're going to be scrambling when this initial investment runs out because you haven't actually produced and sold anything to create any future revenue, nor do you have any experience in doing so.

I would be absolutely bewildered if they are still here next year.

They don't always have all the sponsorships lined up when the teams launch the cars, though by the end of the first 3 races there usually is more space taken up by secondary sponsors.
A little different, but remember when Honda left and the team became Brawn, they had no sponsors (except maybe Virgin?) but once they started winning, the car had a lot more stickers on it.
McLaren began the season without a title sponsor in 2014 or 2015, whichever year they started the brief black and red/orange color scheme.
Side note: McLaren used to be my team but my inner fan has gone into hiding. I don't expect them to re-ascend from the back of the grid this year, but please don't make me wait another 6 years for me to see a McLaren win a GP.

I was a big proponent of Brawn going after a Hi-Liter sponsorship.

It really is interesting how the bigger brands get the small deals and so many of the title sponsors of yore are now gone.

Almost like there's something to it.

I too remember Brawn (Honda's biggest Picard) but that is not what Haas is. (we can hope? nah)

Time will tell how wise the company is. I don't get the feeling they'll be competing against red bull as soon as they may think though. Especially with a name like Rich.

Obviously STR and Williams are getting more money from their sponsors as they had money to waste on some CG / CAD animation of their cars. Poor Haas .

Currently there's a 50% off deal going on (code F1TV50), website shows final cost of $100 USD/ year, I thought that's what it cost last year without a discount? I recall hearing a lot of complaining about streaming issues last year, was that resolved by the end of the season?

Update: code worked, for $50 I'll give it a shot. Watching Belgium 1992 now.

F1TV.

I heard a lot of negative reviews of the streaming service last year. Whether it's a vocal minority or actually a poor service in general, I'm not sure, but I'm going to stick with my download method for the time being.

I hope RBR sticks with that paint scheme. Nice to see something different and easily distinguished from the STR's.

I think it was designed by Pierre Ghastly.

I suspect Racing Point is going to get a rear wing protest. New rules got rid of the little side vents on the end plates. RP either didn't get the memo or tried to create a loop hole by making them open at the front. Does that make them wing elements instead of vents?

It's the 2018 car with a different front wing, basically just a livery reveal. There are also no rain LEDs on the rear wing. The car was revealed in Canada so it's certainly not the 2019 car.

Doh, sorry about that, yeah missed the key bit of info. F1 TV site, $50 to stream (live or later) 2019 races along with all the telemetry, historical races and other sessions. Cheap enough that I gave it a shot.
