Truth!

It's probably just the design that bothers everyone so much because this car has them, too, and I haven't heard a SINGLE complaint.

Did you order after the cutoff for ordering a 2012? You might want to make sure you have an order

I placed my order with a small deposit on June 13th 2012 from a reputable Subaru dealership, when was the cutoff date?

Did you place a deposit on an incoming vehicle, or did you spec one out? My dealership still has a bunch of Imprezas that are in transit.

Cool mt Rainier Impreza

The 2012 Impreza is a darn nice car on a paved mountain road, even with the CVT. Paddle shifters work fine. Drove from sea level to Sunrise Mt Rainier at 6400 feet, and back. Fun car!

Bought my 2.0 Impreza Sport in May. Just installed the rear roof spoiler and gave it a quick wash.

The FT86 may not have it but that was the concept car. The Toyota 86 has those wing windows as well

Besides more forward view it helps with having less drag, from what I've read.

For those that installed the OEM wing... Is it DIY-able? If not how much were you charged by your local stealership?

Thanks.

i had mine installed forgot home much the wing itself was but they just charged me 2 hours of labor but they gave me a deal on that cause blah blah something they dont trust their own tech to drill into the trunk so they sent it to a body shop the work with plus they also just hooked me up with new trunk struts cause the wing makes it heavier etc etc ...

i say just got back to where you bought it and try to get them to hook u up lol but honestly if uve ever done any install for a wing it should be cake

I had to drill 13 holes in the trunk for the sedan. They give you a template for that. I don't trust ANYONE except for myself to do that job. You can take your time and not rush it.

To be honest it's fairly easy to install the OEM wing. It comes with a template you'll need to cut out and tape, which will show you where to drill. The longest part is cutting and placing the template on the car. It took me about 1 hr to install my wing. I had to drill 4 holes for the 5 door roof spoiler i don't know how many holes is needed for the sedan.
