Well id never had to do emissions until my first allegheny county inspection anyway, and more importantly i was shocked to see Ive only put 1200 miles on it since the first of the year. Rule since the 80s or not, just forgot about it!

I live in Clarksville. Ten mile splits it just past the church. North side is washington county/beth center south is greene county/jefferson morgan. If you live aorund here I can't beleive you have never saw my wagon. Two toned bug eye with blouch turbo sticker in back window to keep the boy racers away.

Gone now. Probably going to rock a mk4 jetta/bugeye for a bit then an 05 Sti.

I rarely go to clarksville yet even fredericktown. I went to school in bentleyville so that's weird to see a pic of it.

It is so sparsely populated around here I am surprised you did not see it. I drove it through B'ville a lot as it is the way I use to go to the south hills/79 north etc.

Are you going to trim the spares St.Louis style ? Reason I ask if you are cooking a lot of slabs that is a lot of trimming. This guy makes it look easy and it kind of is after you have done a few dozen LOL!

This is done so that they cook evenly. The flap makes that end cook unevenly and the part he trims form the top is much thicker and also cooks unevenly. What you do is take the flap off the grill first and eat em while you are cooking. Known as the pit master's privilege. The thick part you leave on for a bit after pulling the main slab. Some guys serve that part with the ribs while some cut or pull the meat for adding to baked beans and what not.

If you are just referring to st.Louis style sauce then do baby backs. Much easier. Just pull the membrane and you are done trimming. I will pm you my recipe.

At GE they had them already trimmed for 1.99/lb. so a full rack was 5-8 bucks. I have never cooked spare ribs so I was looking for any help that could be given.

I like to trim my own for the burnt ends and what not. That said thanks for the tip. I will be grabbing a few slabs for the freezer. Ribs and fuel perks. Yee Haw. I sent you what to do if you are going to grill em. 3-2-1 method is best but it takes six hours.

Also heading up to stpr event in wellsboro, anyone else around here going?

So I rolled three fatties yesterday. Breakfast sausage stuffed with whatever you like. Wrapped in bacon and dusted with a rub. I went with this.
2 hours on the smoker or until internal is 165 degrees.

They come out like this.

Not in focus sorry. This is what they look like sliced. The outer circle of pink is the smoke ring. not undercooked.

Yeah get that. If the up pipe is of the same quality as the exhaust it will be good piece. I installed a greddy sp2 exhaust on my wagon back in 05. It is still pretty much perfect.

What is a decent muffler for for a 2.5i, I don't want to go loud, just better then stock. Not looking for performance since i understand a 2.5 is tapped out. Thats why I'm looking for a muffler only. And i don't want it to sound ricey.
