Arrow Lots of stuff for sale (including STI motor)

The car will be fixed and placed up for sale. I will let you guys know when it is all fixed and everything as well as the price.

Sadly, the motor i bought will also be put up for sale. Bad timing, etc...i will be talking to greg to give him first dibs on it first, as he found it,

Stupid bad timing on my part, moving into a BMW sometime early the summer So...all in all..just bad timing and the motor well..makes me really sad that it is having to go..BUT also happy knowing another RS entuasiast or racer will buy it and be using it for what it was meant for..having fun.

The header (old style borla) modifed to fit with alomst no clerance problems will also be for sale for 200, the same price i paid, didn't even put it on the car yet, it only rubs in one really really small spot which can easily be fixed..so it has about 1000 miles on it and is in great shape

The boost gauge i bought from Dave will also be for sale for 60..same price i paid for that. Nice Greddy unit 1.5KG/cm3 display, large face, white faced. (IIRC about 3.2" )

The OZ'z..going to be hard to do..but most likely they will be for sale too. Great condition, as soon as this all finalizes and the car gets fixed i will post the prices for those.

you got it

Sadly And i mean sadly..the car has to go..BMW more aptly matches the new line of work (still at bike shop) but then again, also we will be hosting a lot more rep and CEO visits and i "have" to upgrade now..that and i am seriously looking into motorcycle sales as well...or another sales position..so tooling around in a suby to meet clients is kind of a bozo-no-no

BUT thanks for the times, they have been GREAT!

oh and 01 i will give you dibs on the rims when i decide price and post photos on them.

like i said this is really REALLY hard to do..letting go of a killer car, but it has to be done so.. But..can i still show up to the MWSOC get togethers? and consider my membership fee (actually never became an offical memeber..i lost the sheet *lol* a donation...as with umm...my crazy ideas about mod's.

The motor will be stock, except for the exhuast ( ) that goes with her..the head unit stays with the car, as does probably the subs for a little extra..if not i will have those for sale too...

man..all this is really hard to do..the memories..sweet sweet memories. thanks for the times guys!

Unhappy

If you wanted class, why not go to a Legacy 2.5GT? I have seen a 2000 model(granted it was a fully SYMS outfitted GT from SPO Motorsports)parked next to an M3 series and it looked just as elegant, plus it was safer! Good luck with your Beemer though. A sad day at the loss of a scooby enthusiast. Cya, Gary

well..i want class, but i get a deal through the owner who is friends with Patrick (the guy who owns BMW of Schaumberg) so i am getting it through them at about the cost of a subie plus some depending on model

But beleive me..as soon as my finances regain i will most likely be building up another suby (earlier one...like a 94 L with manual windoes, etc...then going STI on that when the $$$ allows. SO i still love my subies..just can't have two cars this year..but in two years...L with STI conversion may be possible..i still have dreams about the motor though )

oh yeah..did i forget to mention that i am seriously looking at an E46 m3..or a 330Ci with a dinan supercharger..lol..the need for power and handling still exists..but i get a killer deal on BMW's through work, SO...i veered off..but i still will show up to MWSOC and go to the MWSOC/INR autocrosses and events and such..just will be doing it in a bmw which is good and bad...

sent ya an email to [email protected] with 3 pics of it. THe rubbing spot is really small and can easily be made to stop rubbing with a ball peen hammer or such other pounding implement. OR you can do it the "right" way and heat up the piping and bend it the 1/16 of an inch it needs to stop rubbing.

will do. it will have pretty much a brand new drivetrain. Tranny replaced, torque converter replaced, etc.

The car has been de stikered, the pioneer headunit and subs will go with it, if the price is right The GReddy harness will go along as well (400 bucks for that dang thing..lol)..and the color matches perfectly. The tyres on the stock rims are cooper cobras, the control arms on front are new, it has a my00 front bumper and fogs. The paint is pristine, and really really shiny (as it should be )

and i WILL post pics after i get her back

Gary,

Also interested in your wheels if you do decide to sell them. Anthracite is my first choice but I wouldn't mind gold either.

Let me know.

lol..the wheels..well they are having to go. I will go out and take pics and look them over tommorow.

This really really really sucks..i don't want to give up the car..yet i do... *shrug* this is worse than a Girlfriend and harder to let go of too. i have this certain connection with this subby..my own personal first car that i have modded, my first rally car, etc...and it has to go But i also look forward to the future, i see a L buildup down the road *evilgrin*. And i look forward to the possibility of an M3 or supercharged 330ci. BUT i will miss the scuby.

ahh well..just talking and talking and talking and wasting bandwith. lol..i will shut up now ...i swear

01 has firsts, and you have seconds Dave.

Update: the header has a picture posted
of the minor spot it rubs so Sean..all it really honest to god requires to fix and make perfect is 2 minutes with a ball peen hammer Wish i could put it on my car..but alas..gets it final fixing on Tuesday, and the motor is back to "stock" as well. The exhuast is the only "mod" on the car..that and the harness ( ) and it has been de-decaled except for the Subaru on the side window from the UK, and the Subaru logo on the trunk which may or may not get taken off.

So..this is really happening and i am really going to miss her

<IMG SRC="http://www.imprezars.freeservers.com/images/header_rub.jpg" border=0>

or if thatdoesn't work here is a link http://www.imprezars.freeservers.com...header_rub.jpg

and the boost gauge is for sale for $60.
<IMG SRC="http://www.imprezars.freeservers.com/images/boost_gauge_size.jpg" border=0> http://www.imprezars.freeservers.com...gauge_size.jpg

sadly i won't need it. When/IF i go Forced induction in the Beemer..well..i well get some BMW style gauges. Wish i was staying Subaru..but it isn't in the cards (or is it cars? ) as they say. BUT the good news..well..there isn't any. lol

well...whatever consoling i needed can get thrown out the freaking door . After discussing the car further with Mr. Patrick's sales dude he sent to discuss the car with me at work...i quite possibly am going to get a my00 528i wagon . so much for performance

lol..and everything pretty much is still for sale *shrug* lol..but i am going to miss the subie..and who ever gets the motor..i want a ride I am going to be losing money on the deal ..so the least you can do is gimmie a ride

I'd just like to throw two quick cents in at this point. If I were you, and obviously I'm not, I'd drive that 528 wagon back-to-back with a Legacy GT before dropping the required cents.

As I've said to a number of people; I've driven both the 528 and 540 wagons, and I wouldn't trade the Legacy for either straight-up ( unless I could sell it, buy another Legacy and keep the difference ).

Not only are they significantly heavier, they /feel/ even heavier than that. If that is not to your liking, they are not enjoyable to drive.

YMMV widely.

Here's an idea...

Get a Legacy GT wagon, drop that STi motor into it and be done with it...no BMW crap...pure JDM performance.

Problem solved...
