Default Which way to do rotate your tires??

Got a 2017 wrx with Michelin as/3+. I don’t think they’re directional tires.

Which way do you rotate your tires? Front to back or criss cross??

Thank you!

If they're non-directional, why would you not choose to do criss-cross?

What does your manual say? IIRC, there is a diagram in there for non-directional asymmetrical tire rotation.

The correct rotation pattern for Subaru's with non-directional tires is what's called a FWD Cross rotation... the front tires move straight back, and the rear tires cross over to the opposite side front. This ensures each wheel/tire spends some time in each corner of the vehicle, equalizing any wear on suspension components that could be caused by slight variances in the wheel/tire.

Thanks for the image, but I wish people would quit using Imgur here and instead make use of the superior NASIOC image host.

This ^^^. All of it.

One thing I can add involves the situation where you have "3 season" tires for the warmer months and a set of tires more suitable for your colder months. My suggestion is to mark the inside of each wheel's barrel with chalk with the corner you took it off of, with an arrow and the identification of the corner you're going to put it on next. I guarantee you're not going to remember otherwise.

Ex. RF => RR (coming from right front, going to right rear).

I use tire tote when putting them away. There is a pocket on the side for you to indicate location of the tire.
