Default How to replace the impler in the VF39

Hi,
i'll change the impeler in VF39. Have you a ''how to'' for rebuild the turbo?

there really isn't any reason to rebuild a vf39 when you can find used ones for ~$300, and vf43's for slightly more.

NOT something you can do as you have to balance the whole thing. Now I'm not a turbo pro by any means, but from what little I understand, I'll give you a qualified ask a pro as my baseline advice.

"You" don't. Someone qualified with the equipment to balance it right afterwards might evernthough it may not be worth it. It would cost at least $300 for a shop to replace a wheel on any turbo.

I work for an IHI distributor, and they do not support the aftermarket with piece parts. That is why most places won't be able to rebuild or repair them. As stated before, it is 100% necessary to balance the CHRA before reinstalling it into the turbo, otherwise you may have major problems. If the bearings aren't shot and there is no internal damage, an upgraded wheel can be installed to salvage the unit.
