I did this.
It was making sense to me that these would be included though.

When you say that the DCCD Pro is not powerful enough, are you referencing you experiencing mechanical binding?

Yes dccdpro controller has a wire that connects to parking switch and when I pull handbrake the wire goes to 12V and shuts off the controller. Works pretty well.

Anyone using the tuning software?

Does the unit need to be sent back to DCCDPro, for rewiring, for the $100 option?

I noticed a big difference in the handling of the car under full torque, while in auto, vs while in manual with half lock.
In auto, as the torque builds, and the dccd decides whether to increase lock, the rear end feels like "it's pushing over the front" and you have to correct from the steering.
The worst is during turning, when you give gas past the apex, the front end gets initially no lock and the rear becomes unsettled.

In manual with half lock, it feels very planted.

I'd like to tune the unit to respond more aggressively to acceleration.

Have you adjusted the knob?

Did you program it?

I've read the manual again and finally found in the troubleshooting manual a reference where the knob has a function in Auto, just like it has one in manual.

I'm not too optimistic, because I keep the knob half way locked. I'll try to keep it fully locked, to see what that does in auto mode.

And I'll try a calibration too.

So this is partially fixed.

I did the calibration with the accelerator slightly pressed, to get the DCCD to lock faster. Also, I made sure the car was horizontal.

Now, driving in auto with the rotary knob more than a third into lock, at parking lot speed brings binding.
At speed, trying to take a turn say at 60 MPH, looking for neutral behavior, the knob needs to be 2/3 into lock.

I have a new 6 speed, possibly the clutches in the DCCD are more grabby maybe this requires different settings.

The amount of gas at calibration seems to control the amount of gas at which it starts to lock.
What this fixes is launch or sharp in gear acceleration, with a more aggressive setting, these feel safe now.

Or maybe the problem is the lack of a speed input: At speed this would increase the sensitivity of the lateral g meter in the dccd, while at parking lot speed, this would release the dccd.

It seems this was asked before but not answered (as far as I can tell):

If i buy the base kit plus the VSS and accelerometer today and I want to program via USB later can I do this by simply buying the $100 cable/software?

Or does it have to be sent back for a firmware upgrade??

Thanks
