Our forester is nearing 48k miles and my wife said the brakes aren't quite as good as when we bought it. ( we bought it used and was told were the second owner.)
So again, I'm turning to the forum to ask. What is recommended as far as braking goes. Its not a race machine and isn't used to much ( my wifes ride.) Wasn't sure if I can just relace the pads, or if I should put something aftermarket on. Or replace brake fluid and lines. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be much appreciated. |

does it vibrate when braking? how do the rotors look? if it doesnt vibrate and the rotors look ok you can just get pads. i got my set from tire rack. hawk hps is a good street pad.

if it's been over 2 years i would flush the break fluid as well. replace your pads first

Is oem fine or should I go with something like stoptech or hawk hps. And standard brake fluid or is there something better?
