What wheels tires, and light bar are you running, and what kind of suspension setup?

Yikes..I just got some 215/75/15 BFG A/T's mounted up and they are pretty much too big for the Forester lift setup on a gc8. I mail ordered them and got them mounted and balanced for $100, so i'm pretty much commited at this point.
Any ideas on how to get these to fit? I was thinking the Jackson Rally spacers might do the trick..but i don't see them for sale on dirtyimpreza.com |

If you do not want to hack up the sheet metal, there are other ways to correct the rear caster issues.
1) Buy adjustable trailing arms 2) Buy Forester front trailing arm brackets(longer in length) 3) Make a spacer to fit between the front trailing arm bracket and frame rail. <-- I took this options. 2" square tube did the trick |

My 08 WRX on 09 Forester Struts. Soon it will have every other suspension component from the Forester which is quite a bit more than you might think, but the rest is all sitting on my floor going on Saturday.

Gone from gen 1 OB to gen 2 OB to '94 SVX front coils
'99 FOR rear spring and 94 SVX front spring in 99 OB KYB GR2s, on 95 legacy stance is high and tight, despite 140#s of bumper and skidplate! [IMG][/IMG] |

This thread is great. I think I may lift mine tonight, I'm getting a little sick of putting the pieces back on that I tear off.

Unfortuately, I didn't add the FOR coil for these front spring comparison... lazyness, sorry
At any rate, here are rear springs from OB and FOR gen 1 outback (1997) left (sorry, it's actually upside-down) and gen 1 forester (1999) right (painted) the front is also a little taller than OB coil, but a mm smaller thickness.... so a gen 1 FOR coil will lift a gen 2 legacy/gen 1 OB a little... BUT the FOR front coil has a decreasing diameter, like the SVX shown here, and the OB does not get smaller, so you need the forester upper spring perch to mate to the tophat in front... upper spring diameter comparison of 97 OB, 03 OB and 94 SVX gen 1 OB (1997) gen 2 OB (2003), has 1/4 more spring rotation and I suspect a stiffer spring rate, but is hardly taller than gen 1 OB spring... SVX (and forester is similarly smaller on top, although not flattened) |
