I think the Glory days of mitsubishi and subaru in WRC will keep the 30+ crowd into subaru, and give us a pass on the over done blister fenders/scoops/gawdy spoilers etc etc. Plus the WRC cars had the big gawdy spoiler and hood scoops and all that so we just like that. Im turning 40 and all my cars stay pretty much stock on the exterior. My jeep has 2 lights on the windshield hinge covers. And a winch. All my trucks have brush guards (stupid whitetail deer) Some have winches. My 21 5.0 has the brush guard and tonneau. Most of my cars get wider performance oriented tires but otherwise stay stock on the outside. A couple mustang have staggered wheel setups too. Since my first car (86 Mustang LX) I've been more into building a sleeper or just stockish ext. But ive also bought cars that were more outlandish anyway. 2000 2.5 Rs that favored a 22B with a 2 foot tall spoiler and not just one but three holes in the hood. Lol. (without ANY of the performance. Lol) 02 WS6 trans am. 04 Mach one. Etc

I couldn't care less what others think of my cars. One day I'm in my rusted out 79 F150 that I've had since I was 18 and love. The next I may be in a GT350R.

30? I'm 40 and just snagged a 22. Loved my 18 so found myself back in one! I like the previous posts taste as I also have a 350R.

I'm turning 38 and just built a rotated turbo 2020 sti. I've wanted to do this since I was in my early 20's when I had my 2002 bugeye but had other priorities. I can do it now so I did. I was torn on the new ZL1 or RS3 (both cost the same after the build) but at heart I knew I'd always kick myself when I saw a nice clean sti. I'm glad I pulled the trigger when I did or I'd never get to buy and build my new sti. I can fit my two kids in the back comfortably and take enough junk in the trunk to go away for a weekend or to a track day.

This thread is still going, alright! just hit the big 50. Been in the game since 2002. I had a bugeye for about 8 yrs. Sold that for an 05 Sti that is now far beyond returning to stock ever (at least with my level of patience lol). Also still have a beat up old 1993 Legacy wagon that I put forester springs on and built a 2.5l for. Owned and lifted a Saabaru 25i wagon - had that a few years. So, still enjoying the soobs. Sometimes I think the wing might be a bit much but then I just call the car vintage and forget about it

38. Just picked up my 6th Subaru... a low mile OEM+ 2005 Sti. I had a 2005 WRX new off the lot when I was 21, thrashed it for 10 years and 150k miles before it spun a bearing. sold the shell and thought I should get something more my age so I picked up an A8L. Lasted 3 years and I was back in to a 2005 Legacy GT wagon with a manual.

Sooo that makes three Subarus from 2005 now. The other three were a '15 Legacy, '04 Outback and a '11 Forester.

drooool! My plan was to pay off my FA WRX and hunt for an 05 STi as a toy/project car, but after losing it to the flooding from Ida I ended up in a 2010 STi. Still would love an 05 one day but with the timing of losing the WRX, getting engaged and trying to buy a house I'm a little set back. Cheers to you!

33, just picked up my 2nd Subaru. Had a BRZ back before my office moved to the opposite side of town and made for some of the worst traffic in the country. Traded for a DSG GTI and that helped a lot, but now I work from home and moved out to a more rural area. Back to a 6 speed for me!

I'm 34 and my father-in-law, 72. We still roll in our Subaru.
This year mark my tenth year and for him I think he started half my age with Subaru.

We both have NA 2nd Legacy (s) as workhorses. Love it. Sold mine last year to make room for a Levorg. Still thinking of it.

Got another 2 turbocharged in the driveway (GDB, gc6 with turbo swapped)

I just .. can't drive something else haha

My 'baby' sister turns 40 next month and drives a '21 STi that was a replacement for her wrecked '18 WRX.

42 - bought when I was 35. Mainly drive an X5 and the WRX on the weekends/track. Love the community and the fun around building the car up. I may buy other cars but plan to keep this one as long as I can!
