Question STI short throw linkage with Kartboy shift lever?

Hello all,

My 06 STI came from the dealer with the STI short throw shifter. Since the STI one changes the linkage, can I use the Kartboy shift lever with the different linkage? If so, can I also use the Kartboy bushings with the STI linkage to improve feel or is it even necessary?

Thank you,

Evan

my sti came with the sti short shifter too, and i recently changed it out to the kartboy with both the front & rear bushings. it is definitely noticable, mostly from the bushings;

i COULD be wrong, but i believe the kb shifter is slightly shorter than the sti shifter too.

John.

Hi Guys
the linkage is the same on the 6 Speeds. you can use our shifter with great results. FYI the STI "Short" shifter is only a 10%reduction over stock. ours is about 40%.
