$5999.00, Car located in Southern California

Suby lovers I have project car for you. I have a 2003 Impreza WRX converted to an STI with an 04 2.5 bottom end and the 6-speed manual tranny. Up front this car needs an engine rebuild as it let go at a track day in December 2017. I have not been into it to find out exactly what is wrong but it has rod-knock. This 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX was converted to an STI using a 2004 shortblock and 6-speed transmission by Crawford Performance by the previous owner around 2008. The engine was upgraded to with a 2.5L STI bottom end including forged pistons. A JDM STI 6 speed with short ratio 5th and 6th gear with a Street Rays Pitch Stop has also been installed. The motor was rebuilt again after a failed oil pump by Renner Motorsports in 2014 to its' current spec including a 2012 STI crank. The motor produced 320HP and 325 Torque at the wheels on Yimi Motorsports Dyno during its tune on a ECUTek ECU. A TGV Delete, Phenolic Spacers for the Intake Manifold and Pink 565cc Fuel Injectors are some of the recent mods. It has a full cat-less exhaust, Grimmspeed up-pipe and Flowmaster muffler, Blouch 20g turbo with Grimmspeed boost controller, upgraded intake and bigger top mount intercooler and Injen CAI with direct cold air feed from just behind the passenger fog light. Upgraded StopTech Performance brake pads and racing brake fluid were installed for added stopping power. The Suspension has been upgraded with KYB adjustable-damper shocks (734034) and Tanabe coils, front and rear upper strut bar and front H-Bar for rigidity, rear Whiteline sway bar mounts and rear end links for added stiffness and control. Cooling is accomplished by a 3-core Mishimoto radiator with full Mishimoto hoses. Inside is a custom in-dash car computer with a 7 inch screen and trunk sub-woofer and full blue interior lighting. Custom sunroof and JDM HID headlights and taillights and blue exterior lighting and matching blue tow hooks front/rear. I also have 17; Drag rims and Hankook street tires for a little more comfort and a set of 18 5Zigen rims and Nitto NT05 tires for performance at the track.

I'm curious also about the price, that's some rough luck for the motors

I calculated the price based on 04 WRX STI's goig for 12k-18k that I saw. A new motor can be installed for between 5k-10k depending on motor spec. and how much an individual could do themselves. I had the car for 6 years and had alot of fun at the track and autocrosses but decided not to put the 10k back into it. I ended up purchasing a 13 Ford Focus ST back in January and have been 'tracking' that.

I'll help, because I'm about 6k+ into my car w/ more labor.
