2013 is the first time Bluetooth has been offered with the Base. It is a shame it doesn't come with cruise control, though, for those that use it.

The fact that this car is made WITH Bluetooth standard, but with Cruise not only unavailable, but with NO OEM upgrade option for it is a farce and something Subaru should be actively trying to message to potential Impreza buyers. I feel decieved. Yes, I made a mistake here, but I cant be the only person who assumed that the car had cruise when it clearly has power windows/doors/keyless entry/bluetooth .... And even with that assumption, Subaru should have a clear training program using that missing cruise feature to be the FIRST up-selling point that the salesmen use to upsell to a Premium Trim. Subaru's 'build a car' feature on the website also does not make this clear. The bullet points for features on 'Premium' doesnt include 'Cruise Control' as one of the things you get. It should be the FIRST thing in their list.

Frankly, while I am otherwise very happy with my base Impreza, this is in my opinion, a collection of egregious errors on the part of SUBARU, and with no OEM option for having the feature installed, it shows they don't care to even attempt to fix the errors.
My salesperson didnt tell me. But i planned on getting the bas to save money. First thing I notice was the lack of paddle shifters and then cruise control. Not sure how you missed it.

I feel your pain. I have a 13 spt lmtd with moonroof, had to buy out of state due to only car in color, w/moonroof, I could find on east coast, and night before traveling to get car, called to assure all was fine, only to find out they mis-informed me that car did not have fact sat radio.. sat only comes with Nav from factory, can't be added after the fact... Really??

Asked specifically a few times while negotiating with sales staff. The 2012's could have sat w/out Nav?? HD radio, I dont want/need that!!! The dealer did put an aftermarket sat radio that plays through aux jack as a resolution.. but what a joke.. top line imprezza and cant get sat radio. President of the dealership could not beleive it either when I complained. And dont get me started on the MPG's.. well documented, actually keeps getting worse, not better, Engine Break-in my a$$. Love, it's what makes a Subaru a Subaru - should say Lies!!!

I have a '12 base too, I feel your pain

Though I pretended to have a Sport Limited by adding the Sport OEM Roof Rack myself

Have you done anything aftermarket to your base?

^ While were at it.. I sorta pretend I have a sport limited since I had Katzkin leather installed in my sport premium. I wonder, can the auto climate control from the limited be swapped in?... It's probably more expensive of a change than I'm willing to pay for, but now I'm curious enough to look into it.

Katzkin looks nice, what did it cost you? Also, did you install, or dealer/specialist install it?

Very interested now (since my cloth seats are already fraying), hm..

As far as the Auto Climate Control, I'd assume it would be more than just the controls, likely there would be a module located elsewhere.

Just compare the parts between the base model (for example) and the limited in an online OEM parts store, and see the part differences (or extra parts).

Just an assumption though.

Dealer install, $900 for both rows including the pieces on the doors (duh)..

I expect another module for the auto climate control too.. somethin to sense the interior temp? We will see.

There are probably a few different pieces since other than fan speed your controls now are manual.

I'd much rather have CC than bluetooth. I ended up with neither. Well until I installed my own head unit, but I still don't have CC.

So far just a dgm sport mesh grill on my obp car. The contrast looks cool.
I Plan on a sway bar next. And spray painting my hubcaps to mimic the sport wheels. I like to pretend too.
Ill slowly get to it. I figure as bulbs burn out ill go to led.. when the oem tires wear out ill buy wheels then..

I also would like to propose a vote. Perrin stubby vs. Sharkfin.

I personally like the jpm coachworks alacantra. Ive been thinking that trimming out the center trim piece on the door cards would be cool with matching ebrake and shift boot.

I prefer the 2" Perrin antenna. I have one and am happy with it. If you go that way remember that you have to get the BRZ one, people have reported that the Impreza one doesn't fit right. I took them at their word and ordered the BRZ one, it fits perfectly.

Ah yes, I remember the pics on that little dilemma.

Pics of the 2" would be sweet if you have a few. A lot of what you see are close up pics so it rarely gives a taste of what it actually looks like

It's dark when I leave for work, it's getting dark when I get home and I park in a dark lot while I'm at work. Also I only have the camera on my phone to work with, but I'll if I can get a picture or two that might help you.

Here's a listing for the control at least, if you want to get started with the auto climate control.

That's a good idea, I'm going to be doing a stereo install in the spring and having the limited controls would make it a hell of a lot easier than the manual ones on my sport premium. Does anybody know if the cable connection is present on all models?
