![]() Installed a Ball Bearing Arashi 20g. Today during tuning the turbo was overboosting to over 25 plus punds. Not sure why because according to specs, the turbo has a 1.1bar actuator on it, which equates to 15 psi. Is it possible an incorrect spring was used?

![]() Been running mines now for 3+ years 30K+ miles with no issues.
Running EWG and meth injection at 24 psi making 415 whp and 380 wtq Dynojet (I have seen 440whp and 390 wtq on road dyno on a much cooler night). Turbo is about capped out there in terms of efficiency. |

![]() Been running my td06 sl2 20g now for about 20,000 miles now all in all great turbo for the money. Took me a little to get used to driving it with the lag at first, but once your able to keep it in that sweet spot with your shifts its a beast. I am thinking about switching out the compressor housing to a 3in anti surge style to see if it helps it with lag will update this thread if I do.

Have you consider swapping out the journey bearing cartridge with a KBT bolt-on ball bearing to help with spool, I think Arashi offer this as an option. - |

<br> This on a 2.5l fully built with FMIC it hits 21psi at 3700 sometimes a little earlier depends on my driving. Will definitely hit higher boost but my trans will definitely not handle what this turbo has potential to do. Holds my 19 psi I have it set at til 7000 rpms no problem and pulls great. I stuck with a journal style turbo for reliability I drive too many miles to have to worry about rebuilding turbo every 20,000 miles |

Is this statement based on personal experiences ? Or is this type of failure specific to Subaru or a particular brand of turbo ? I ask because a quick Google didn't show a lots of hits. If this is a concern, check out RHB turbo in Canada. They have a patented triple ball bearing design that float on oil film that might just be the best of both worlds. https://rhbturbochargers.ca/pages/fu...e-ball-bearing - |

![]() For anyone that’s ordered a turbo from arashi how’d it go and how was communication. I’m trying to order one right now but having a lot of problems. Their website is having issues and I’ve gotten a few messages back and forth through Instagram dms, I’ve sent multiple emails but nothing in response. Any tips?
