Default Installing CF Sidemarkers

I just ordered replica CF sidemarkers, and am told the just apply on top of the stock orange sidemarkers. Will I still see the sidemarkers light at all? Do people unhook the sidemarker lights? If so, how?
Thanks.

Remove the orange sidemarkers, cover up the electrical socket, clean the surface well and apply over the hole where the sidemarkers used to be.

The easiest way to remove the sidemarkers is to push up on the sidemarkers from the bottom and pull the bottom out.
