Awesome post and awesome 818 in the background of the 1st pic! Kind of a noob question here... but how did you get the rear diff out of its casing?
I am currently doing a diff swap on my 96 legacy gt, I believe its an R160. The diff is off the car, I have the rear cover and side bearing retainers off, but I cant seem to wiggle the diff out! I thought I had to pull off the side bearings off the actual diff to slide it out of the housing, but you have bearings on all your rear diffs! This is my first time doing diff work and it is driving me nuts!!! Do i just yank it out of there or am I missing something?

Not sure if this is the right spot but pretty sure it is. But my front diff seems to be slowly leaking and I checked the levels and it's barely covering the L on the dipstick and I was wondering if this little leak is a common problem and just needs a little bolt snugging or what and also what kind of gear oil should I use? 2007 wrx 5 speed btw. Thank you!

Question for the diff experts:

Has anyone seen or heard any info on a front 1-way LSD for a 6MT 2016 WRX? Stage 2 with flex fuel ate mine on the track a week ago and I can't find any info on it.

Any help is much appreciated!!

How does the car handle/behave between the AP suretrac, Torsen, and clutch style diff? Basically, if i have a Torsen, is there a good reason for me to switch to suretrac or clutch type?

So is this a simple bolt in for 2015+ WRX? I have never seen the various splines to know if it is compatible or not. Also, is this a legit suretrac, or vlsd? How do I know?

What are the TBD (torque biasing) options for 5MT? Can you please also tell which one uses male and which one uses female axles? Thanks everyone!

And another question: Can a 6MT diff fit into a 5MT?

Can someone confirm if there is a difference between the axle/splines of an 03 JDM R180 and an 05 USDM R180?

I would like to add that since buying a 6MT with a suretrac front, I have done research on how it worked exactly other then 'some magic happens'.

Here's the document that put it all together for me:

For anyone else that would like to understand how their suretrac LSD works.
