I think that is very doable. I would believe that. Most vf39's and vf34's dont have much past 18-20 psi, Just initial torque. But power will be about the same. On a wrx with a 5 speed that is properly tuned, that is very doable in my opinion. Now at the same time he could be some goober blowing smoke.

This is what I'm thinking. He also said he had a 1000whp supra.

I just find it hard to believe - I'm by no means a good driver but clicked a 1.66 60ft time and 7.6 1/8th (11.8-11.9 1/4) on an 18g and E85 - Given I failed at getting my boost control set prior to the track I was still making more power than any vf34/9 on pump gas and 18psi - HOWEVER, at 18psi on a 2.5 he might be making near the torque I was at the time..

A professional driver - luck - and <50*F ambient temps - I actually believe its possible on a 2.5....

Probably full of crap. At 18 psi on pump I'm not buying it especially at full weight. In a gutted car at 25 psi on 116, I'd believe it.

I have one of those 1000 whp supras too.

Well based on the OP's location, I'm guessing near St. Louis.

You know what a 500 hp supra has in common with a 1000hp supra?
the Time slip
Old joke but i still love it back to the B.S.

OP does he go to gateway for his times? Maybe I'll go see him in the next couple of weeks - when are good nights to go to street legal there?

Seems pretty un-likey unless this car had some serious weight reduction.

And 18psi is BS... getting every last cfm out of that turbo, with an aggressive e85 / race gas tune would be your only hope for this in my opinion.

Yes it gatway. You could come and see him. But the the vf34 took a dump over 2 years ago and he put his tdo4 back on. He says he lost the time slip. He also say he doesn't belive time slip on the internet cause they can be faked. But what the killer is that he says he the Fastest stock susp/stock tires wrx/93oct,vf34 in MO.11.89@114 1.69 60ft and even has it as his sig on our fourm, and has his myspace at the end of it but is on blocked setting.
