Jack, jack stands, a 14mm socket and extention, whatever size wrenches you need to bolt together the MRT system (14mm or 17mm). That's about it.

Break loose all the header-flange nuts, disconnect both O2 sensor harnesses, remove the support brace bolt, remove the mid-pipe and pre-muffler exhaust hangers, remove the header-flange nuts, lower the whole exhaust to the ground, then remove the two post-muffler exhaust hangers. Pull the old exhaust out from under the car.

Installation is the reverse of disassembly.

Default MRT Installation

Just A Heads Up! If the 2nd O2 sensor is the same as the 2001, then it won't be long enough to install. My O2 sensor was fried into the stock headers and I had to replace it, so I cut the old wire off the fried one and attached it to the new one. I then shrink wrapped the wire and zip tied it to the car, out of the way of hot exhaust pipes. Good Luck, you'll enjoy the header. Keith

My O2 harness was long enough, I needed no splicing. Just follow the harness into the engine compartment. It'll be zip-tied to some other wiring just under the plenum box. Snip it, then you have long enough wires.

should be an easy install. don't be alarmed if smoke starts pouring out the first time you start the car up. it's just burning off some paint and other gunk that's in the new parts.

ok, this should have been the easiest install... except i was sent a header-back system that didn't fit!!! the headers didn't fit! it was off by a 1/4 of an inch what a waste of a day off and money. i gotta send some emails, and get this straightened out. the muffelr is on though, which sounds great! but i want everything on... man, my life sucks right now.

...welcome to the wonderful world of aftermarket parts, where anything is possible.

always keep a dremel, a torch and a big-ass hammer around and you'll be in fine shape.
