I think this car might look better in person.

yeah, it will look better in person. My MX5 RF certainly did.

They've covered the important bases with this car. If you're asking, did they create a 2019 version of the last Supra? Not really. Is that a bad thing? Hell no. This car stands on its own and it ticks all the important boxes.

Performance wise itís great. Looks wise I just canít see anything but a BMW Z car with one hell of a good body kit.

I still want an explanation as to why they didnít just go with the FT-1 design concept. If they did, they likely could have charged more than they currently are as that car was god damn art and simply gorgeous.

The whole reason the RX-7, 3000GT VR-4, and Supra Turbo disappeared is because they were all overpriced for the market. So I'd hope the new one would be cheaper with better modern performance.

The F-40 had a slow gated shifter, 2nd gear topped out around ~85mph, and it had an old-school turbo that took forever to spool. It wasn't a stoplight drag racer.

I find the 86 selling mostly in automatic to be hard to believe. When they first sold, autos were a small fraction of production. Now they're majority, even though the cars haven't really changed since 2012?
First, a manual will cost less right up until around 225-250 ft/lbs rating and then it just seems like diminishing returns takes over.

Secondly, none of you must live in the south because I see auto twins all the damn time, used or otherwise.

The front was simplified to keep costs down. I think Savagegeese was the one that asked them about the front being different and they said it would have ended up being much more expensive. The nice thing about that front is that it is going to be fairly easy to modify. I'd love to change it to more of a Jaguar D-type face.

There will be a Manual in the Z4 but only in 4 cyl version so I imagine will also be for the Supra manual 4

I agree. Iíve thoroughly enjoyed all the posted videos on here. I have my gripes, as did the reviewers, but the rest of the car is actually exciting to watch and listen to.

Toyota's recent cars have looked pretty good IMO. The new Rav4 Adventure looks badass, Corolla hatch looks decent, the Lexus lineup as a whole looks great.

Toyota in the mid 2000s up until maybe 3-4 years ago looked totally boring and pedestrian, but I give their design teams props for the new cars that have come out lately.

I think you're misunderstanding me. I don't want the car to cost more, I want the car to be an equivalent value to what the 70k GTR was when it first released: an undeniable king for the price segment.

Yeah, the GTR shot up incredibly fast in price and stealership markup made finding a 70k one nearly impossible if you didn't reserve, but it was still ultimately a 70k car that beat the pants off every other car anywhere near that price, all the way up to $100k. The extreme value it had, the fact that it hadn't existed for years, and the sheer performance *period* regardless of the price is what made the GTR instant collectors material. I wanted the supra to be a 50k version of that.

If nissan can do it, I expect toyota to be able to. Nissan is both financially and qualitatively garbage by comparison. I enjoy it when car manufacturers take hits just to flex and make something awesome. The evo is another example. Basically the only mitsu worth having and they used the entire rest of the lineup to prop it up. Did it work out well for them? No, but it did make the car fantastic

Competition is much stiffer these days than when the GTR was released.
