Absolutely it would. That has a bigger back end than the 93-01 cars, and that's what I put my motor in.

Any specs on what the motor is?

yeah i dont think you can just throw a 2.5long block in the sabaru.. most people with do a 2.5 short block with 2l heads.

on another note, what are you guys using for winter tires??

You could do that. For sti you would need the ecu.

Can't you just block off the AVCS on the cams and run it like a normal head? AVCS does help a lot with how efficient the engine is though.

I'd personally be looking to do a hybrid swap if you guys have the 2.0 heads and that 2.5 block. Send the heads out and have them chamber matched, then throw it all back together.

Ran Michelin X-Ice's on my stock 16's last year and no complaints, granted we didnt get **** for snow. Got a really good deal on them, otherwise I was looking at the Dunlop Wintersport 3d's or Blizzaks

Michelin Pilot Alpine on my car for this winter. The next set I have to buy will be the Dunlop (I think?) Extreme Winter Contact. I had those on my last wagon and was supremely impressed.

I am using General Altimax Artic's. Was quite impressed with them and have ran several versions of the Blizzaks over the years. Work extremely well in deep snow and are fairly agile on the Ice.

I loved my generals. However they don't make an 18" tire

Not that I am aware of, however Turn In Concepts carries it and Amazon has shops that do to.

Lane Automotive in WaterVliet thats where I get it from. They also have Redline and other synthetics

On a different note there is a chance that I may trade in my 06 wrx for an 07 STI. So if someone wants a clean 06 and I this 07 is worth buying then Id be willing to sell my 06 for around trade in value.

Plus I'll have a VF34 Turbo and 07 STI TMIC for sale (well the turbo is for sale either way)

As for winter tires I used Michellin X-ICE 2's and they were great I will be using them again this year. They did way better than my all seasons

Six Star said they won't touch a hybrid because they always turn out to run like **** ...so it scares me to even think about it if they are refusing to even do it for someone that wants to pay them
