I heard about this on the radio. It only works on a select few brands of locks. Hotels have known about the problem but don't want to pay the money to have them replaced.

This really sucks for folks like me who travel with expensive equipment, but have to stay in hotels that offer govt per diem rate. Those hotels frequently do not have in-room safes.

I'm not worried. Hotel's place is so confusing, I got lost everytime I left the room. I once walked around the hotel for an hour and when I finally asked one of the staff where I was, they told me Disney World.
