Default 02/03 Oil leak Who's got one?

My wagon has developed a slight oil leak on the top of the engine back by the turbo. I noticed it a couple of weeks ago when we were coming down a hill sitting in traffic facing an afternoon sun and a slight wisp of smoke came out of the hood scoop. Now Shea says he has the same thing on his 03. Has anyone else seen this and if so do you have an idea about what is causing it?

Jeff

I've seen it before. The only time I've seen it though is on a completely bone stock car that was at a rallyx; the owner had put too much oil in it when this happened and it never happened again after that point. (Kevin H.)

I usually keep my oil at about 1/4 to 1/3rds on the stick and even when getting liberal with the throttle, I never see oil with mine.

What's your oil level look like?

I've heard of other folks doing it too, but nobody is quite certain of the cause. (My theory is that it's related to oil level.)

I just had the oil changed and they put it to the full mark. I got used to not having to do that myself.
