Sometime you attack time, sometimes time attacks you.

Lets put Nancy Kerrigan in the car - she's real familiar with ice dancing - I'm sure she'd catch on quick to this - its basically the same thing.

She could triple sow cow the **** out of Ken Block

100 sideways? km or mph? Because that's 160kmph and WRC drivers don't even do that at 160... most start their braking at 160 to get down to 100km ish depending on the turn. And to be sideways, you should be having a hard turn coming up, and you need to scrub off a lot more speed than trying to take the turn at 60/65mph...

Now, just upsetting the car a little and improving the angle of attack while scrubbing speed, while keeping the revs up (and tires spinning on the gravel making the tach go higher... then I can see that... but sideways? Hardly.

Just sayin.

I'd love to see a video of someone going sideways at 100mph in the woods at a rally. Heck, I even went to WRC Finland, and didn't see anything like that... nor in my 9 years of following WRC.

Oh, and I wish I had the time/$$ to Rally. I'd do it in a heartbeat. Just too much time and $$ to do it. Not to mention, where would I work on the car? No garage (yet).

...this ain't no wrc
I've hit 120 mph on my first event on straights and that's illegai in wrc

Foust takes some 6's sideways and these are 5th gear corners

Straight != sideways as you claimed.

Foust still has still yet to win driving like that too.

Plenty of sports have competitive events and "exhibitions". This was clearly a driving exhibition. It is fun to watch - I enjoyed it.

Did I say I go100 sideways or did I say "in rally"

I've seen Foust take sweepers sideways in5th @ full speed

But I guess Foust is not good enough driver judging by your comment

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

The most difficult, craziest cars to drive that currently fit into any major rule set are:

run off road

have 800HP engines

Recently initiated a minimum weight somewhere in the 1200 lb range

frequently fly through the air

have huge, functional wings.

Have close car to car racing

and run 1/2 mile ovals, and only turn left. WoO!

Posts like this, though I agree with them 100%, make for a bland thread.
