Default The 20's Club - 19 pics.. Download friendly

Hey this is my first post here, was shown this site by my mate Fastfour, who has posted up some pics of his car previously, and recently of his single turbo conversion.

I can see a lot of standard looking cars and also some fairly done up ones. Thought I'd post up some pics of our rides which we took recently.

Yes we both have 20" wheels.. hence the name of the thread :P

Well that is a first. I don't think I've ever seen dubs on a BD Legacy.

And I thought I had big rims with 18"s.

What series tire are you running? And how much does that throw off your speedometer?

well, the silver one looks nice, but that white one isn't so hot. Maybe because the wheels and aero kit are a bit cheesy looking.

Good work on providing nice pics though...

We are both running 225/30/20 tires. The speedo is apparently out 4-5km/h so not too bad. If they were 35 profile tyres then speedo would be out by as much as 10km/h.

Oh and Kraziken... it's just me being pedantic but they are BG, not BD. BD's are the 4 door sedans... the wagons are BG. Same year/chassis though so it's okay, I'll forgive you :P

Well with a username and lisence plate/tag of "SCUBDU", I think I can understand how Ken got your BG confused with a BD.

SCUBDU, if you ever want to sell that lower spoiler, let me know That's only the second one of those I have seen and I think they look just plain awesome. I like your car over all. I do believe some of the touches on there need to be reworked, but the same can be said for my car. I'd like to see the license plate moved to the center inside of the huge opening. I think the opening is just too large without something breaking up the gap. Maybe an FMIC or fog lights or something. The two tone looks awesome and is very well integrated, didn't even notice it at first.

The silver car is hot as usual, and I've comment on that before.

Seriously, do you know who makes that midspoiler for the legacy? Or where to purchase more of those???

Actually it was pure laziness on my part. I usually type BD/BG, but you get my drift.

Great cars! Thanks for the pics. I like the silver one more than the white one though both are great. Wish I had the moonroofs like that on my BG as well as the rest of it of course.....

Thumbs up

I'm not generally a fan of gigantic wheels, but those are some rather nice looking cars. Especially the silver one.

LOVE the BG's. Especially the Silver. And not because I have a silver Wagon too

Now for the White wagon, I Think the thing that's keeping it more on the "Rice/cheesy" side is the Mesh in the front grill/bumper. Maybe if your mate painted it Black or just got rid of it, then I think it would be SWEET!!

Otherwise,........CHEERS!!

P.S. - I just visited a mate in New Zealand, Auckland to be exact. I Loved it!! So Beautiful and Soobies EVERYWHERE!!! LOL

Nice wags guys!!! The silver one is nice and clean. The white is good too but the body kit seems to bulky. He should get rid of the mesh and put a FMIC in.

What kits are they by the way?? What mods you guys have?

Peace
Baker

Well to be fair the black top / white body is unique and original.

While others said they didnt like it, you arent them. I don't like it either, but I certainly respect the all effort that when into the two-tone styling theme.

Being one of the first to chime in about the white car, I can tell you that I never said anything dissing the two tone color. That was one of the FEW things I liked about it...

I didn't like the aero kit compared to the silver car. The silver car's kit looks sleek, the white one looks "rice". I didn't like the grille compared to the silver car. It makes the hood look squat/smashed. I don't like whatever that white squiggly stuff is in the front window. I think the silver car's wheels are ten times better looking than the white car.

The white car looks like they just pieced together a lot of things that looked cool by themselves, but didn't look cool when put together. However, that two tone job, with a black top to match the dark tinted windows is GREAT!!!

edit: Oh, and if I didn't make it clear in the first post... congratulations on making 20" wheels look good on your legacy! That is a hard thing to do. Here in the USA, we have tons of cars rolling on dubs and they just look silly. The ride height is wrong and the wheels just look strange. However, your cars look like they came stock that way. It just looks RIGHT...

I'd just like to say that it's my car which is the white one, and my mates car is the Silver one. I won't take offence to anyone not liking my car, I love it and that's all that matters.

And to set some comments straight...

The kit isn't an aerokit, as lots of people like to call any kind of aftermarket kit. It is a one off custom kit that was designed by someone else but then wrote off his car so never put it on. A friend of mine worked at the fibreglass place, told me about it, and I jumped at something so original that no one else would have one. EVER.

We can make turns like anyone else. The tyres are a 30 profile, and have plenty of clearance on the inner wall. We did have to remove the plastic inner guards though, but that's no major. We both run Tein Adjustable suspension so we can change the ride height at our leisure.

With the mesh in the grille, I have been considering changing it to black, and will hopefully do that soon.

Comment away

With all the exterior work, I suspect there are some interior mods as well?

I'd be interested in what else has been done. Please give details.
