Default What boost should be "safe" for the STi?

Disregard my prior post on boosting the STi. After much thought, I am going to not mess the factory boost.

Thanks,
Russ

Stock.

That is all.

Can we start a death pool on Wagonboy's car?

Wait for a reflash damnit! And watch out with that intake leaning you out.

Mods - shouldn't this be in FFI?

Wagonboy:

You should be safe up to and including 24.7 psi. Don't listen to all those other jealous people; crank it on up! Hey, it's only an engine...

Good grief man, it's already got 300hp and 300lb/ft of torque. Why risk blowing it up for a few more lousy, unsafe HP?

Wait for a reflash at the very least.

Bro, do what I do to all turbo cars...Take your Fuel Regulator's Vaccuum line off, now use that nipple on the intake manifold for a boost gauge...

Get a Tee like a 1/8th or 3/16th tee...
Place that Tee into Compressor Outlet's Vaccuum line...Run a vacuum line from the Tee to the fuel pressure regulator...Now you just bumped up the Fuel Pressure under boost by about 3-4psi per psi of boost...

That should give you the increased safety margin to turn up the boost to the limits of the turbocharger for the cost of maybe $3...

You just increased your injector size when under boost and will not run rich when in vaccuum...

You will go thru gas much faster but thats what you have to deal with when you are making more power...

Throw in a Walboro and call it a day...

I figure you can crank up the stock turbo to about 20psi Max Boost...But break in the motor first and get a 3" or larger turboback exhaust...

You need an S-AFC II or something to richen it up in the midrange. You'll run into detonation at that boost level. We are getting a little due to both the increased airflow and the crazy timing maps. Top end is good though.

Wow, the STI looks soooo nice in white, and I have never liked white cars.
