Subaru Stars Houston Shop Day & BBQ Part 2 - August 22nd at Underground Graphics

Alright so the shop day date and location has been set, now we just need to see what needs to be done and make sure we have all the tools for it.

Starts at 9am gates open at 8:30

It will probably be an all day affair so we will either need to plan for some food or bring some food and we will find someone to stand around and cook it. And since there will be enough people standing around and just comming to hang out might as well make this a BBQ meet too.

We will also need all the tools we can get, so if you have a socket or a wrench set bring them! Jacks and jack stands will also be in high demand.

[disclaimer]

If you have somthing intensive to install (i.e. suspension or uppipe) you need to be there by 10:00 or we are not going to get to you. Greg, me and others do not want to be there all night. So we need to get the cars there up on jack stands and taken apart. Dont plan on showing up dropping off your car and sitting back why others install your parts for you, you are going to have to do some work on your own car. Its ok if you have no idea what you are doing there will be pleanty of people to help and instruct who have done these installs many times.
I would like to have as many cars being worked on as possible even if only one person is working slowy on a car at least we will be making forward progress. This means we need as many jack stands (ramps will do for uppipes) as possible each uppipe will take at least 2 jack stands and each set of springs will take 4 jackstands or you could do 2 at a time. So if you have jack stands bring them, if you dont have jack stands and your car is getting worked on you may want to think about buying a couple they are inexpensive and pretty essential to have around for working on cars.

[/disclaimer]

If you are comming post, and if you have somthing to install let us know. I will keep updating this first post.

1. Alex(afpdl)
2. Sean(captpuppet) flexy uppipe with gaskets.
3. Greg(Glilly) Nothing or an entire sti suspension set up and floormats.

I've got to install some springs and strut tops, and motor mounts if I'm feeling ambitious.

That's cool, as long as the people you bring down can legally "get hammered"

I would like to have someone drive my car or something and see if my stock boost gauge is correct or not. It won't show more than .5 bars of boost at any gear, winter or summer.

Oh darn, the uppipe and TBE is already been installed. I can bring ice, some pizzas, extra tools, jack stands, floor jack. Sounds like fun.

EDIT: It's Joel, forgot to add that part

All of that will be appreciated, the more tools we have the more cars we can work on a once.

Geez Seth...getting with the ball now aren't we?!

I *may* have a tranny mount or shifter bushings to install. Depends if I order them soon.

Along with my JDM air freshner! (I went with Cherry Blossom Surprise).

I wouldn't mind getting a 30,000 mile service, but I have to figure out all the right fluids to get and where to get them and such. As for tools, um, I have a crappy wrench set from Target, one really slow hydraulic jack and one jack stand. :P

I'll see if I can be there -- mods to possibly do? Get help in fixing the downpipe to catback connection so it doesn't leak and maybe a rear dif protector (10 minutes )
