Interesting, why did you decide to put a slight "flare" or up turn on the end of the spoiler? I like the filled in ones, but I've not seen a re-worked one like yours.

I miss my GC8 and it's JDM STi wing. . . Just a tad more down force and or a slight more agressive look.
I boxed in the sides like the GC wing too. . . Need to get picks up os the further progress. |

Attention guys from the old school unique mods thread:
A while back I posted pics of my R1 (bike) and how I wired a DIY garage door opener button into it, then, for entertainment purposes, posted a picture of a model in a bikini on the bike. Most of the people that saw it requested more pictures of her. That girl now does porn. Search ftvgirls for Cassidy. That is all. Edit: also, she fists herself |

Being FMIC'd on my 05 sti, I had an open line where the I/C spray water would come out for the TMIC setup. I ran a line down the side of the fender into the front bumper. Snagged some windshield washer spray nozzles at the junkyard, as well as a "Y" splitter and put in the end of the line. Viola! Cheap, and functional FMIC spray setup.
In the pictures I pulled them out of the mounting spot so you can see them better. I was able to get them tucked behind the license plate mounting area, so they are hidden normally. The spray is a little "weak" as the water has to travel from the resovoir in the trunk, to the front of the car, down into the bumper and out of two nozzles. It sprays a little better out of just one sprayer, more of a trickle with both, but when driving it goes onto the fmic. |

Farmboss, whered you get the switch with the led? I can only find one like that without the light. I need 2. I could do your setup and I was also going to use the other for a "green safety connector switch" instead of plugging them together to switch maps.

i recently did this a second time. i'm using an OBXT grille as the surround, a Ford Crown Vic honeycomb insert. the honeycomb mounts to the shell via drilled holes and zip ties. the whole thing is painted flat black. New DIY honeycomb grille, painted and nearly installed. debating what badge to use. thoughts about this old one i recovered VS the traditional blue stars...? IMG_0445 by tommyburkart, on Flickr |

got bored and messed around a little today. I used to have a similar setup on my old 2.5RS so i thought I'd try again. Intake heat shield DIY.
What I used: Small piece of sheet metal, cut to desired size needed for clearance and fit. Bent to fit. Painted to desired color, or left metal. Found some random hardware- "c" bracket, and short screw with nut. Test fit it on the intake, under the hose clamp, against the filter. Test fit the hardware on the shield painted the shield red, to match my other under hood goodies. installed: Cleaned up under the hood while the paint dried, the shield matches pretty well in my opinion. |

Interesting. I think I would rotate the whole contraption, on the same axis as the filter so that the shield were between the turbo and filter, but those are my thoughts. I'm not sure how hot return lines are on fmic, I could be overly wrong.
Looks good other wise! |

^ yes thatnks for that, it will be rotated back a little bit, it just barely fits under the fmic piping without rubbing. i may bend the c bracket a little bit so i can rotate back further, but for now i'm good with it. thanks for the feedback!

Is there a slight bend in that? Not sure if this will work for you since it's a thick piece, but when I made mine out of sheet steel, I screwed it down onto an old speaker box so the bend line was at the edge, then used a block of wood and a hammer (wood to soften the blow) and gave it some good whacks to make a nice crease. Rubber mallet worked, too, but nicer with a block to make it smooth.
