Agree and thanks. Seems like typical healing time is around 6 weeks, but I'll just see how it feels. Hoping to do some easy trail riding within a month. I'll pull out the stationary trainer for now.

So being out 5 weeks with a healing collarbone has given me a lot of time on my hands. I decided to build a truck bed rack for my Tacoma. It holds up to 4 bikes, has a removable/lockable storage bin for riding gear, and is really stable. It came out pretty good considering my carpentry skills are minimal. Total cost was under $40.

Thats awesome! But how do you use the middle two racks with the box there?

That's why I made the bin removable, but I'll only carry one or two bikes most of the time anyway.

Tried going for a ride on a fairly smooth trail yesterday. Still can't pull up on the bars at all, but it felt great just pedaling around.

Anyone here ever ride the Kingdom Trails/Burke mountain area? On vacation next week and spending a few days in Sheffield, VT. Looking for good places to ride and other awesome things to do.

Kingdom is great if you like pedaling, and Burke has some decent lift access. Stop at Chappy's Ice Cream for a snack and a swim in the river when you're done riding.

Kingdom looks perfect for us since my girlfriend is coming with us. Need some green circle trails so she can have fun too.

I live in Lyndon. I used to ride kingdom trails a LOT! Every free time I had, I broke my back a two years ago and haven't been since :/ Lake Willoboughy (sp?) is a great place to go! Plenty of hiking, kayaking and swimming.

KT is pretty awesome, the lift stuff at burke is kind of underwhelming but if you get a shuttle to the peak there's some rad trails up there. Also this saturday is the Bike n Brew fest i believe, right at the base of the lift. Went last year and it was a good time.

Might take you up on that offer. Although, my girlfriend is new to Mtn biking and needs the green circle trails. Riding Burke next Friday, the downhill looks fun and smooth.
Any other suggestions on what to do in the area?

Anyone interested in a 90's retro full suspension? Amp B4 frame and fork with mostly XT XTR components.

My wife and I rode KT for 3 days on Labor Day weekend. We stayed in a B&B and pedaled out the front door. Met Knight Ide and hung out at Trout River Brew Co. with his wife and kid (who is a crazy good rider!). It was a total blast. Our favorite trail this time around was Troll Scroll.

My sister flew out from Seattle last weekend to spend some days at Highland, ended up hitting the giant airbag a few times. Tons of fun, and way less scary that it always looked from afar. Probably going to do it again saturday!

I have 2 passes to the sunday river bike park, and I'm definitely not going to be able to make it up there again this year. So anybody want them?
