I’m with you on this. After 2 years of only knowing the car stock I just installed an AP and the COBB stage 1 93 map yesterday. I like it, it’s easier to control when the boost comes in but stock was fine. Just a different way to drive the car, living a little bit higher in the rpm range basically. Waiting for the mailman so I can install new plugs tomorrow and get on with the Bren process.

Dont waste your time with Stij. Theres about a zero percent chance he has the self-control to not unblock me to read my posts anyways.

Exactly. It's a different way to drive the car, but it's not like reinventing the wheel.

The biggest thing I found to improve stop and go drivability was removing the Hill assist feature

Good luck with Bren! He's a fantastic tuner!

Your butt plug decided to show up too. Too bad he had already made it to my list before you, but I'm willing to bet he's here to defend your honor. We're missing the third amigo, wonder where he's stuck at.

Go at it boys. Don't mind if I sit and watch. Lol

I ran with hill assist disabled for about a year. When I taught my wife how to drive the car I enabled it again so she had one less thing to worry about. I learned exactly what point on the clutch release that it disengaged and played with it for a day. I haven’t turned it off again and I haven’t had any issues. You just have to make sure if you’re trying to hustle that you release it ahead of time or you can be too quick for it.

As far as Bren, im looking forward to it. Thank you.

What was that JR?

You like to tune cars too, just like your friend, even thought they are perfectly fine and to your liking already? Or were you trying to tell me how to get a free AP like the kegel that's around you must have, cuz apparently it didn't cost him anything.

Yeah, I found it way more reactionary on my 2016 than my 2008. I hadn't even noticed it on the '08 until I had TOB issues which caused the light to come on lol.

It was def nice in the more mountainous areas here with much higher grades, but was too annoying just driving around the city. I think I made it 45K miles before switching it and for the past 15K its been off.

Fwiw, I just drove a 19. The problem is still there. It isn't as bad, but it definitely still exists.

Side note, the Jag XE drives like a gazelle with a flaming dildo in its ass. It felt more cramped than the WRX though. It was still a LOT more car than the WRX, even though it was a year old. I might start shopping for a CPO XF now.

wow this thread got cancerous in a hurry. I'm not even going to bother trying to figure out whats going on.

The biggest reason to change the tune is because a stock WRX is slow. 260BHP is not a lot. Drive around with 300+WHP for a while and you'll never want to drive anything slower again.

This.
I enjoyed the stock tune, it was fun, but it felt a little too slow for me.

You're going to be tickled once you get your tune done with Bren. I'm on Rev 2 of my E-tune with him right now, and it's like the car was transformed a second time. I didn't expect much, and was very pleasantly surprised.

Customer service has been wonderful, communication has been very quick and informative, and every tune I've gotten from him so far makes the car pull like a raped ape, while pulling cleaner than the OTS tunes.

Thanks Chris, I’m looking forward to it.
