Why change tires? Stock was larger I think, and drove it like a *****, no wonder the Crosstreck did so bad. Stock tires would have allow more drifting as well.
Thumbs down |

Yeah... I'm not going to register (even if it is free) to watch a ****ty video. I made the mistake of paying for your magazine (actually, my parents did as a gift). I got zero magazines. Then I was told (after many phone calls from my mother) that I would receive the new media that was all on disc for two (woohoo!) years instead of one. I received one DVD in the mail. Then, being an idiot, I paid for the subiesport app. Which is ****. I suffered through half assed production and PAINFUL video reviews. I refuse to register for anything. Even if it is free. I don't understand the concept of making "enthusiast" videos for a small car manufacturer who has a small enthusiast following. I don't understand the choice of hosts (the chick you had was terrible). I don't understand the request for money for an inferior product (free isn't cheap enough).
Mighty car mods and the smoking tire are both infinitely better, and that was even when I was blinded by my fanboiism. I don't want anyone to fail, but instead of saying "hey, we don't know what we are doing! Lets **** people out if money and go international with a video show!" you should have said "let's make the magazine (if financially feasible), honor our subscribers, and try this video stuff on the side". |

This episode was kinda boring, even as a '12 impreza owner. It seems like it could have been shortened to a 10 minute video without cutting major content.
Ill still stay tuned for more episodes though, as long as its free. lol |

Yes, we have to wall it off @elislider because we're also selling it into broadcast. The options are to withhold the episode completely until it airs (and it may not air in your particular market) or offer it with a simple login requirement.

Pretty entertaining video, good job.
I was a little incredulous of the drag race, though. |

In the age of free online content, advertisement/data mining based revenues and cloud storage, the idea of online membership for access to one show is just stupid and backward thinking. Look at Drive on Youtube, you think this would have worked so well on your indiviual closed platform? And who is going to pay to download episodes, the idea is to have things available online, not the other way around. This would have worked 5 years ago, before Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, etc. The content looks interesting but the business model will kill this project fast and no one will make the dollars they deserve.

It takes time to get into the platforms your describe. We can either a) make you wait months to see the episodes on those platforms, or B) offer them instantly with a simple membership wall while we work on wider distribution through TV and streaming platforms. Fact is, the shows will not be accepted into broadcast or other streaming platforms if they're already freely available online. We're playing the long game. Also, to compare to Drive. That series is fully funded by Google specifically for YouTube. There is no other way that an online ad-based show like that is economically viable and, if/when Google decides it doesn't want to front the money anymore, it will go away (as many other shows have from YouTube.) |

This is stupider than someone complaining about an article in a free flyer... because they don't like the paper it's printed on.
If you don't want to register and watch it, then don't. If you want to register, at no cost, and watch it whenever you want to rather than waiting for a different advertisement supported venue, then you can. Honestly, what a bunch of whiners... and not the people bitching about the content, the idiots bitching because they refuse to sign up. |

Yes, Drive is huge now and gets money but they started small (remember FLD Detour?) and many others did as well. Youtube does not guarantee income but at least you get exposure, right now I doubt you get exposure or income. If you're not ready to distribute then you went into production too early.... Just noticed you had replied... anyways, no I didn't miss your point. You may, however, have missed mine. So I will restate it in simpler terms:
1. If you don't want to register to watch, then don't. If their distribution channels are not acceptable, then go away. 2. You (the folks who spent more time complaining then you would just registering with a bogus name, etc.) are all a bunch of whiners. And that's it. If you don't get that... well, you can't fix stupid, right? However, I think that there will be no shortage of ill will toward anything with Ryan D's name attached to it, based on the way Subiesport ended. If you got burned, can't blame you. But there's probably plenty of people riding a bandwagon because it's there and easy to be a follower. |
