very interested because I am planning on doing a forward facing setup.

there is no room to angle the turbo straight vs how you have it angled?

can you go into a little more detail on your alt setup? Is there anything holding the alternator on the right side or do you just have the ac belt tensioner with some spacers on the left side? also what length of belt are you using? Your bugeye is looking awesome i eventually would like to do a forward facing or a low mount setup in the future

Our goal at first was to have the turbo sit straight forward. Unfortunately the turbo was at too much of an angle because the downpipe wouldn't clear. It would touch the timing cover which was no bueno. So the decision was made to face it sideways. We are going to make an inlet that sits right in the grill.

Thanks a lot !
Nothing is holding the alternator. I'm using ac tensioner and a pulley I had laying around to make it. Spacers and a longer bolt were used to get it mounted to the bottom of the motor. Also trimmed the alternator bracket so the belt wouldn't rub. I don't remember the length, I just took a string and measured out the size and went to the local auto parts store. I'm thinking of getting one a little longer to give me a few more inches on clearance for my piping.

what about if you do the downpipe out of the hood as well, or just out of the fender?

I must do it straight on! Man, your project will be almost exactly like mine, except I am using a 2.1 instead of a 2.5. I was also inspired by the bad ass evo ff setups.

Trust me I begged them to do that. I wanted the DP and 2 dump tubes shooting straight up like the fast Honda's do it.

the downpipe(or should i say up pipe) is coming out of the hood, already had this discussed with Keith a while ago. I stopped by today to show him where i wanted the hood cut, and discuss whats left to do on the car. Pics as soon as he gets around to doing the car

Completely unrelated to the turbo setup, but it looks like all of your brake lines are stainless instead of hard lines with bulkhead fittings at the firewall. I'm debating that versus running new hard lines myself... What fittings did you use to connect the banjos to the MC? The only 10x1MM banjo bolts I could find didn't work correct with the inverted flare inside the MC... You can PM me if you want to take it off this thread.

I most likely have the same one you did. i just cut it down enough to make it fit in the master cylinder. i wasnt worried about the inverted flair.

I giggled when I saw the stack. I've been fumbling around on my front mount turbo and can't find a real good method of getting 4" exhaust out without just dumping through the hood or bumper...doesn't fly for a road course

Looks top notch!!
