Default 96.5 cent dollar :)

Anyone planning to take advantage of the high dollar?
I am thinking of the Ohlin fixed perch struts
plus that are 5% off this month...

I'm thinking of buying an Outback wagon....

Checked out prices in the US vs. Canada and it's about $2-3 thousand less in the US.

Def not the deal the STI was I got in Seattle as that was well over $10,000...

Other than that not much I don't think!

Although it really is nice to see the dollar almost at par... keeps the options way more open and cheaper!

As the CAD and USD get closer and closer, maybe we can consider a universal Canada-US dollar like the Euro. Mexico can keep their pesos however.

This North American Dollar, or NAD, could be interesting.

"How much is it for a pop?"

"That'll cost you 2 NADs"

I can see it now

Ah Dollar hits all-time high, since the 70s anyways, same day the market is off 400 points, a bittersweet day.

Are electronics vastly cheaper in the US? E.G the PS3 60GB is $550CAD here but is $500US there.

Other than shopping for clothes, I don't think my budget will allow me to splurge for something nice with the dollar

I might be getting a new Legacy GT from the US. Should save about $12000.

high dollar = lower prices
lower prices = more spending
more spending = higher inflation
higher inflation = higher interest rates
higher interest rate = high dollar

A friend of mine looked at a 06' Ford F-350 Diesel King Ranch Crew Cab Dually, was 71k up here. He went and bought it out of Arkansas or somewhere like that..... 47k, same truck.
