Personally, I don't like it. Just because it's different doesn't mean it looks good. Also, it looks like you didn't even remove your brake pads when you sprayed the calipers. That makes the paint job look cheap to me.

All that said, congrats for actually following through...if you're happy with it, that is all that matters! You asked for comments, I gave you mine, but you don't have to listen to them.

You are absolutely correct I would have stated in the heading keep negative comments out but i didnt. Negative comments........Eh i could care less. Its just sad that no one likes a differnt color then a stock color. I just wanted to show everyone that Subarus can look good with a different color then WRB, Or PSM. Which i hate seeing both makes my eyes bleed. See i have my opinion too.

It's unique and it stands out, and honestly it looks like you did a better job than I could have done painting by myself. I don't know because I've never painted an entire car. You took on the challenge and the results look like they came out good...just not my thing. If you're happy with it then don't change it.

I like it but I think it would look cleaner if the entire car was orange.

Anybody opening the door? The lazy way. Did he even bother scuffing anything? There is so much more wrong w/ the prep photos. The fithy floor, the kerosene heater (if you did not use you did not bake and if you did use it sprays the worst contaminants). Bet you won't be so happy w/ what it looks like in 2 years.

3 stage paint w/ pearl is color, then pearl, then clear.

Wow good eye bro u found my heater. THANKS

It was clean before we sprayed. It was all prepped the way we wanted to do. Either way your comments and thoughts are not going to change how we think about our car. So take you negative comments else where. We dont have to entertain you any more u made your 2cents now move on.

All of your party and the horses and oxen have died of dysentery. You are the weakest link. Goodbye. I guess that's what happens when I fill my party with musicians. Hey, at least morale is high until we die in Kansas.

Its not over. Its only 1/3 of a 3 stage paintjob Wait till they try pearl after the fact. Or 2 years when its peeling and chipping cause it wasn't cured. Or if they try to do pearl later and then for any reason need to do bodywork, trying to match both the paint and pearl again.

Not saying I never did half-ass paintjobs cuz I have for different reasons. I just wouldn't go posting pics saying look at this unless I am smashing it into the forest.

Anyway, here is one worth pics from last month, Mclaren SLR the way we do an all over.

Check-in.

Paintbooths.

Door handles? Check!

Reassembly.

Ready for pickup.

I'm gonna go ahead and guess that paint job had a SLIGHTLY higher budget.

Agreed. i dont think that he understands its a free paint job. If it lasts 2 years then we will repaint but ino itl last 2years. Ill make sure i post pics. Lol. N im sure the FLAT BLK WILL LAST FOREVER. It dosent even have a clear or pearl. So yea it will last longer.

I'm not sure you should ask someone who obviously works at/with/owns/something a body shop to step up against your at home DIY job.

Impressive at is, don't get me wrong, the whole "eff all you haters, let's see what you can do!" thing isn't exactly helping anyone...

Keep in mind, when you post on a forum you are kind of posting in a place where people are going to comment, positively or otherwise.

That said, I like the orange, but I wish it went all over instead of the two tone
