My Driveshaft Shop order with my carbon drive shaft and axle bar upgrades will arrive tomorrow. We will most likely install them later next week! I'm psyched to see how the XTI feels with the carbon drive shaft!

Thanks Kelly! I've been driving it on pump gas this past week and it really does drive like stock until ya give er! It's very strong on pump also!
How's your motor coming along, word from Dom on it or any progress to report? I'll bet you're chomping at the bit for the new motor and to put that 7670 to full use! |

I heard Dan Benson is swamped with blocks to sleeve and Dom recently just sent him a big batch to get worked on including mine. Still no eta but in the meantime I'm powdercoating wheels, pipes and anything else. I'm also in the process of getting a new job which will require me to move and possibly have to give up my huge garage which is gonna suck but at least I'll be by the beach.
If I move before the block is ready I may have to let a shop do the install which is an expense I'd rather not pay. |

Timing is everything and I'll be Benson's busy in the spring! New job? Living by the beach would be nice!
Good luck on the job!! |

Thanks man. The new job is an instrument controls supervisor position at one of the coastal power plants out here near L.A.
The first interview is tomorrow. My old Navy buddy has been trying to get me out at his plant for years now and he's finally made me an offer I can't refuse. |

In hindsight and knowing the power I made now with my build, I would probably go with a PTE 6262 or 6266 rotated and 272 GSC or Kelford cams. For the stock location these Blouch turbos ROCK! |

I got a chance to wash and wax the XTI the other day and I took a few quick photos of it with my iPhone.
Darius, 4warned offered to tint my front windows and I am going to take him up on that. I did not do them initially but want them darkened now! It really needs that JDM lip on it Junior! I had the Rav Spec carbon lip on it but my alignment guy tore it off pulling it on the hoist and I never put one back on. |

I got some work done on my car, swapped out the head vent hoses and installed some new Mikalor t-bolt clamps on the Mishimoto radiator/ hoses. I'm going to do the Vibrant vacuum block and all new pushlock vacuum hoses when we do the drive line and strut upgrades. The vacuum block bolts line up perfectly with the ears on the top intake manifold. I'll just have to drill and blind/ bottom tap the ears. Last edited by manitou; 05-12-2013 at 04:01 PM. |

That's exciting I'm definitely going to copy that idea from you haha, I love the way silicone hoses stay nice and tidy and clean. My vacuum lines look like a talon ricer put them together but they are functional

I converted to all push to connect hoses some time ago. Just make sure to get dot approved fittings and lines it should be fine. The 1/8 npt fittings thread into the tial bov and ewg. Ebc are 1/8 npt already so it's easy.
The only thing was that I'm running a hallman mbc and needed to use barb to push to connect as I was worried about drilling the hallman for new fittings since the ball sits right at the outlet. I tapped one fitting in the manifold and one in the upper intercooler pipe. You could easily tap the compressor outlet. I bought most of my stuff from amazon. One interesting benefit is that I no longer get low throttle surge from my tial. I guess the stiffer line helps the response on the blow off valve. |

One last thing (sorry if you're not talking about push to connect) but you may want to grab extra 90 fittings for the distribution block. The fittings are cheap if you get them from Parker or Legris etc.. Although the lines have high heat rating, they don't like to be bent and can get soft if you put too much bend in them. You want to reduce as much bend in them as possible. I used straight fittings at first and just made the lines really long to keep the bends from kinking but it looked ugly. I later thought it through more and bought 90s for some places. Having a few extra fittings of straight and 90s just makes it easier as you plan it out.
