interior pieces matched to exterior paint color are too much in my opinion.

search "monovich" he did a nice write up on painting interior pieces. He did his silver.

just a side note make sure to put a clear coat over any areas where rubing occurs or you will end up with the origional color showing through pretty quickly

Monovich's looked really nice. There was also someone on here a while back, may have been Monovich as well, that had painted their gauge cluster silver but their warning lights/signals and all still showed through, that looked really good IMO.

I used to have pics but i had to wipe out my computer a few months ago and lost them, but my trim pieces are white in a black interior, with a flat black car, and the white powder coated WRX rims are on there way.

My suggestion would be to choose a color theme that you like and go with that. I picked silver and blue. All my interior trim pieces are painted silver metallic (to match the exterior) and blue. I also redid the door panels blue to match the STi seats.

your car first gave me the idea of painting my trim... i love the blue, but it doesnt match my 03 wrx seats or my exterior color.

I used a base coat of bright red and then used some expensive stuff from an R/C car store. It turned out rather good.

That is the original thread. Looks like the link to the photos/captions on how to are no longer up. I didn't re-read the thread, so there may be instructional stuff in the thread itself.
