what's the diff between the:

Subaru STi "pink" WRX wagon 223 192
Subaru STi Pink '04+ 257 217

And how do I know which one a vendor is carrying?

BTW, there's a local california company over here that made springs with identical rates to the "sti pinks" but also with a typical drop. They are progressive and start with the stock rate for the initial phase and progress into the full STi rate.

http://www.crucialracing.com

Crucial Blues (like Sti) 257 217 1.25 1 Progressive from 146 87

Default Update

As I posted above, the Prodrive springs lowered the front significantly -- about 1.5 inches. In the rear however, the ride height stayed about the same.

The ride is obviously harsher, but if you live where the roads are relatively smooth it's ok.

Also, the ride has gotten a bit more compliant since the install. It's as if the springs and/or struts broke in a bit (or it's just my imagination).

Handling is very close to neutral and I still have the OEM sway bars.

I just found these at http://www.boxer4racing.com/ - I e-mailed Dale Teague and he couldn't find a listed spring rate... he told me they were between a .75-1.25 drop
"JDM STi Lowering "Tarmac' Springs for 2002-2003 WRX"
Nobody else seems to be carrying them - any one have any idea what the spring rate might be?

I know the 04/05 STI's were 224-f, 195-r. I don't think they changed the STI's rears to 190 for 06/07 but if someone has a factual update on that it'd be nice to post it here.

The Lowering Spring FAQ contains a lot of this information but perhaps not all of it...

The lowering spring faq or this one?

I'm not a moderator anymore, but traditionally they are just added to the suspension supersticky.

From the Lowering Spring FAQ, linked three posts up

Quote:
What lowering springs exist? I want a really big list!

Here's a Google spreadsheet that contains most of the ones we know about:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?k...eL_KhwEw&gid=1

North Ursalia also has a good reference that contains a lot of the factory cars:

Screw the wiki It's a forum; I never understood what the point of the wiki was. I guess everyone can edit it instead of some people? But then you have to go off the thread page.

Thanks! I can't remember, do we have a coilover list somewhere that I can update or is this new? (I should know this, but I don't, I haven't been active on the suspension forum in some time.)

thanks
john
