I wish I could've had a brand spanking new Impreza when I was your age.

Although back then it would've been a V6 WRX STi-RA.

Lots of mechanically-minded students here. I drive a WRX and bought it my 15th year in High School.

Some people don't have loaded parents. Some people work for there cars just like you.

I'm not in high school but I am going into my second year of college, and have owned my WRX for a year now, and in the end of June I will have had the car for 3 years. I bought it my junior year of high school and finally paid it off before my freshman year of college. Definitely makes me appreciate my car more than some who are just handed them.

My parents bought my car.

You make me feel guilty lol but really, that's very impressive that you were able to manage such a financial burden on your own.

I think it's funny when people say they paid for their own cars but at the same time they live at home with their parents and don't pay insurance, rent, mortgage, food, electricity, water bill, utility bill, gas, school, etc. etc. etc.

So maybe the appropriate question should be, "Who paid for their own $10k-$30k+ car and mods and also pay for all of their other living expenses?"

Yes I drove an old beater in high school

my folks are kindly enough to cover my school bills (for now) and keep a roof over my head, thats about where it stops.. but in hs, most kids live at home, so thats not too fair a compairson... i drove a geo in hs, then payed (400) for a cellica gt, then payed for my subie, no payments, i straight up payed off my car... thats something im really proud to say i have done

Most of the kids at my school with nice cars take really good care of them. Except the girls... They have no concept of such a thing with their Jettas and tCs
