Default Hyundai teases Veloster 'Grappler' concept

The hatchback has been transformed into an off-roader for SEMA.

Hyundai has revealed the Veloster Grappler concept, an off-road show car that will be headed to SEMA.

The Grappler transforms the hatchback into a rugged all-terrain vehicle with higher ground clearance, steel-tube front and rear brush guards, knobby tires and lots of extra LEDs to illuminate the trail.

The cabin has been outfitted with a roll cage to protect occupants and contains traction mats, a shovel, portable Goal Zero power station, first-aid kit, dome tent and other gear.

The "self-contained command center" will make its first public appearance at SEMA, showing off a combination of one-off customizations and accessories available for the standard production Veloster.

Looks cool if nothing else, I have no need but still find it oddly appealing.

It's SEMA, nothing has to make sense.
