Default Audi Clubsport quattro Speedster Concept

Audi Clubsport quattro Speedster Concept

http://www.motorauthority.com/news/c...dster-concept/

Quote:
Audi has taken the wraps off a new concept car called the TT Clubsport quattro. Designed as a hardcore version of the Audi TT, the car uses the Porsche 356 Speedster as inspiration for its design and name.

The Speedster has no top, no A-column, and no rear view mirrors, instead relying on a small windshield and side mirrors that have the turn indicators embedded within. Also new is the front end, now with a grille large enough to suck wild animals into the engine bay.

Under the hood lies a beefed up version of the 2.0 TFSI engine found in the S3, now developing 300hp with the help of a larger turbo. Audi’s S-tronic dual-clutch transmission handles shifting duties, while the brakes have been ungraded to carbon ceramic units. The new wheels are 20” wide and made of light alloy to help keep weight down.

Audi is yet to reveal official information of the concept, but reports suggest that it could make a showing at this week’s Wörtherseetreffen 2007 tuning show in Germany.

Looks too doo-daddy to be a club sport car for my tastes.

Interesting how a hardcore version of a TT is so very softcore.

Thats funny, it looks like they used a Remington foil shaver for their inspiration.

i actually like how the car looks + the 300 hp. cant really drive it in other than sunny days

did they mean 20in wheels and not 20in wide? cause that seems wider than what vipers and such run.

Let alone the fact that without a bar in it, its not going to be "club" anything.

It looks like a chrome wheel magazine add car. Or just a pimped (riced) out current Mgen TT.
