Thumbs up ILP Performance Experience

Just wanted to let everyone know how my clutch job went at ILP Performance. I like to give credit where credit is due.

This past Saturday I had a clutch and flywheel installed at ILP. Everything was going really smooth until it came time to bolt up the pressure plate to the flywheel. It turns out that Cobb tuning sent me the wrong clutch. I was really pissed, but I won't go into that right now because Cobb is closed for the move and I haven't been able to get in contact with them. Needless to say someone was careless.
But, the guys at ILP are awesome. They understood the situation and allowed me keep my car there until I could source the right clutch. They even offered to get one for me. The best part is they let me keep the car on the lift ( I really didn't want to move it while being all apart.) So I ended up calling Phil at TurboXS to find out the correct part numbers for my ACT clutch. I must also give props to TurboXS/ Phil. Even though he didn't make any money off of me buying a clutch. He was more than helpful in giving me the info I needed. Thanks Phil!
I also want to thank Mach V/ FastWRX.com for having the right clutch and overnighting it to ILP for me. You guys are awesome also.
So I headed back on tuesday night and everything went perfectly. Everyone at ILP were understanding and extremely helpfull. I must say that if anyone needs work done to their cars, I strongly recommend ILP Performance. See you at the Grand opening guys.
Ian

Thumbs up Excellent and Timely Service

I just received my CEL fix from Jeff today. The package was more than adequately wrapped, the directions are clear and readable, and the product was received quickly/on time.

I would gladly use ILP Performance again in the future when given the option.

Good job!

Angry ILP Performance.com

Well I am not rushing into this. I have had 2 weeks to decide what to put.

First off. I was PM'd offering 4 snow tires studding and 4 rims mounted and ballanced for 448 (29 studding, 399 package and because I was in the tristate area yet to far away I had to pay half the shipping which was 20) No biggy. So I asked them to call my wife which they did. And my wife was driving so she called them back and between the 23rd of october and the 1st of November the cost of the tires had gone from 448-490. (I PM'd them and they was going to refund some money to our card because they had a miss comunication) Which she said was ok but when can we expect them. Shipping wouldnt be till Tuesday of last week. OK I`ll bring the car home and fit them over the weekend. Weekends been and gone and I have no tires. I Pm`d them yeasterday and got a responce this evening stating they lost all there info upto last friday.

Your order was placed on Nov. 1, 2002. Today is the 11th.
The studding price had changed before you called due to the first gun we were using broke, and the cost of a new one was large.
You are correct, in that, due to a miscommuncation we had charged you the full shipping amount instead of half. We also had delay from our supplier on the wheels in which they came to us only on friday afternoon. All wheels and tires were ready to ship by friday night. But UPS does not work on Sat. and either do we on Sundays. As per your PM on Monday Nov 4th we said we would be shipping the wheels/tires the following Tuesday. Nov. 12th is the following Tuesday. We understand that everything: the first miscomuncation, the delay on the wheels getting to us, and not being able to ship over the weekend has made this seem like we have forgotten you or just are trying to screw you. THis definatly is not the case. If you would contact you Credit Card company you will see that not only have we refunded you the $23 we said we would, but we have refunded you your FULL shipping amount of: $45.00. Also in the PM to you is your tracking numbers for the packages going out today. sorry about all the problems, but we are here to show that we take care of our mistakes, in the future all we ask is that people give us more than one day after a PM before posting to the board, especially when that PM is over the weekend.

Just wanted to say thanks to ILP for its quick service. I ordered 2 sets of wheels/tires and they came within a week. My card was overcharged and they took care of it the same day I e-mailed them about it. And yes, it showed up on my credit card within 3 days. So far, excellent service and prices. Sorry to hear you had some problems but I would definitely order from them again. Do you guys have any deals on winter tires for a 1991 Honda Civic Si ?

sorry for anyone's inconvience. we have added additional discounts to those most affected by our problems. We have also added a second backup ordering system to prevent any future delays

Default Thanks to ILP and Faraz

Just would like to thank Jeff and Faraz @ ILP Performance for their truely dedicated work this evening and professionalism. I was late getting out of the city and didn't arrive up at ILP til 8pm which was about 1hr after I had planned to get there. Faraz and Jeff worked their butts off getting my tires mounted and balanced for the SVX. Even with a broken dis-mounting machine we were able to get to Pep-boys just in time to have em pop the bead on the tires so that Jeff could mount and balance them.

Anyone in PA/NJ/NYC should consider taking advantage of their knowledge and total dedication to auto enthusiasts. These guys run a great show, from top to bottom. Once again thanks for the tires! http://ilpperformance.com

Default Stromung!

I purchased my Dual-tip 2.25" Stromung Catback from ILP about a week ago for a very good price (I don't think I can post it!). The pacage came a few days later.

Since I'm away at college, I have yet to inspect the box or install the catback, but I will say that ILP's customer support was excellent and their shipping time was first-rate.

Thumbs up!

Ordered a couple of VDO gauges [turbo/egt]. Excellent response time and tracking # provided via PM's. Items packed sufficiently in box and arrived without any visible damage. Pending if this vendor has what I want at a price I can't refuse, I will have no reservations about ordering from them.

Complaints [unrelated to ILP Performance]:

- UPS: Took FOREVER to get to me from the East Coast.

- VDO: No install instructions for the EGT Probe. It's probably industry standard, but the customer shouldn't have to search for the NPT thread tap size to cut into the manifold for installation [which I hope is 1/4-18 NPT].

Follow up:

The package that had my Stromung Catback was damaged en route and was missing a gasket and two bolts

BUT, ILP is sending me a set of replacement bolts and another universal gasket to make up for it, free of charge.

This has been the first NASIOC vendor that I've dealt with, and I've had nothing but good things to say about ILP's service since I started talking to them about buying a catback.

I definitely will be ordering from these guys in the future, and I'd recommend ILP Performance to all of my Suby friends.

Great service, great product. I ordered a short shifter from them and got great feedback and service from them. Only small problem was they didn't put enough stamps on the package and I had to pay $1.08 when I got it. No biggie. Overall performance was excellent and will do business with them again!

Thumbs down ILP wasted my time

After emailing ILP inquiring about an Exedy flywheel based on a previous NASIOC thread they had posted, I got an email back telling me to call to order at the price they quoted. It was a great price, so I called and ordered. I was told the flywheel was in stock and would ship that day or the next.

A week later I emailed ILP asking about the status of my order, and two days later I get an email saying that they fired the person that handled my order and to call. Called both numbers and left a message, with no return phone calls. Finally get an email saying they didn't have the flywheels, and they would NOT honor the price I was given. This was AFTER I had waited 9 days, and they had ALREADY charged my card.

I wrote back explaining that if thay had good customer service, they would honor my orginal deal, and send the flywheel out ASAP. Got an email back saying they couldn't do that. Basically stating that they were not willing to lose money on shipping. Well, a good company, with a good business plan, model, and process, should be prepared for these situations and realize that sometimes you have to incur some expenses to keep the customers happy.

Nope. That didn't fly. Somehow I was now in the wrong and being treated like I was doing them a favor by buying from them, and all my business advice was absurd (I have a business degree). I was told I had a bad attitude for expecting good customer service. I could see if the mistake was for thousands, or even hundreds of dollars, but this is for like $30 in shipping. Come on?!

I requested my refund, and was told it would be given. This was probably the only thing that went smoothly. Although I haven't gotten the refund yet, but I know it usually takes a couple days to process, so we'll just have to wait and see.

So now I have no flywheel for my scheduled Wednesday install, because ILP screwed up.

Beware.

Thats insane. lack of customer service?..thats more like highway robbery! what they did by charging your card BEFORE they even shipped the item is illegal....basicly stealing. taking money without shipping the goods. I sure as hell wont be ordering from these pricks...
