I made my dealer take their sticker off as a condition of sale...looked like a rental car sticker.....

The first week after getting my STi I removed everything except the STi badge from the trunk. I think it looks very clean. It's just personal preference.

I thought the large SUBARU badge was too much so I found this pink backround WRX badge cluster with the small subaru badge, removed it from the template and kept the impreza badge under it, then relocated the subaru badge under the brake light. What do you guys think?

back when i had my GC8 in 2001, i debadged the SUBARU letters from my trunk and replaced them onto the block off plate inside of the hood scoop. hardly anyone knew what a 2.5RS impreza was or even paid any attention to Subaru before the WRX was selling here in the U.S., so people were always asking what kind of car it was, along with trying to look into the hood scoop to see what was in there... it actually looked pretty cool, i felt bad throwing the letters away

This is my wagon.

I also do not buy clothes that have a lot of names/badges on them either. I don't see why I should accept that on my car...

hrm...

i have a 97 impreza sedan(L). 2 days after i got it i peeled off the hideous chrome sticker telling everyone where i bought it. i planned to shave the rest of the car, but the parentals wouldnt allow it(they bought it for me, i was barely 17 at the time). well that was a lil over a year ago and i still want to debadge. maybe one night ill go out and "steal" my badges and act all disappointed when i "find out".

but one way or another it will be done

as far as shaving goes... i have a black car. i smoked the turn signals, third brake light, and side markers so they seem invisible. i woulda done the rear lights but 1) i ran out of tinet and 2) its illegal around here.

but if i could, id take off the spoiler, shave the filler cap(and have to fill er up throguth the trunk), the trunk lock, and if i could, the door handles.

i also like minitrucks, so mayeb thats why i like things shaven so much

I think the filler cap in the trunk might have some bad side effects, but the rest sounds good. If you told your parents all of the above I can see why they said no!
post a pic of what you've done so far, sounds like it looks pretty good.

I paid for the car, I get to control the advertising space. When subaru calls me up and offers me $$ to advertise for them, I'll cover it with badging.

I'm not ashamed that it's a subaru, I'm ashamed of living among people that can't justify their own existence without paying a premium to wear clothes and drive cars covered with branding.

Personally...either way it goes it doesn't matter. To me I love the car no matter . It'll still get up and whoop ass. They won't see the badges anyways..just to fast

I agree somewhat with what you say. I don't see the need for people to know the exact make and model of my car from badges. If they appreciate the car they will know what it is. I'm not driving it for anybody else.

I debadged my wagon because the "WRX" emblem on the back attracted cops and loud hondas with pimply faced drivers. Cops would follow me because the CHP "street racing bulletin" told them this was a car used by street racers.

One cop followed me for a mile or two, then pulled up next to me at a light and asked," So is that the 227hp one or the 300hp one?"

I debadged it completely, but I may put the "Impreza" emblem back on.

It looks a bit bare, but attracts much less attention. Non-Subaru owners don't seem to know what it is without the labels.

Its just cleaner. All my friends like it better too.

Basically, you will get bored on a saturday and go "what mod can I do to my car today?" and an hour later you will be debadged.

If I drove an Impreza right now, I would debadge everythin and stick a new Six-star badge or an "I" badge on the top centre. This would provide the back of ur car with a FOCAL POINT and provide some visual balance and symmetry. Plus, all other Subaru models have the logo in that position. AND, the new 06 Impreza will no longer have the S U B A R U word, instead, it will just have the logo, so u would be keeping up to date
